Aubrey Looks Set To Fly In Spain
Aubrey Looks Set To Fly In Spain
A field of six have gathered for the highlight on the Spanish card this week, they will travel 2100 metres on the dirt for a chance at 70k in stakes. The race is shaping as a tough day at the office for these runners as whoever manages to get over the line first will have no easy ride. What a race it’ll be lets have a look at the field….
Too Much Off is a 3 year old Deputy Minister colt from the barns of proxy. His run last start in allowance company was sensational where he posted a very impressive time and racing home quickly stunned rivals in an effortless 3 length win (and could have done better if pushed). He’s certainly not the roughest here and will be in it for a long way, and after relishing the step up in distance last time out should be well placed to feature prominently again come the weekend. Big chance.
Palatine Hills is a 4 year old looking to compete up a gear here compared to what he normally races against. His distance strike rate is ok in lower grades and although has hit the board at those outings will really need to rise above himself to take this one out. He’s been well placed by palatine of date, a credit to the trainer resulting in an impressive race record to date but I would have to think Palatine Hills will find this very tough and shouldn’t trouble some of the big guns here.
Royfly’s Dubai creates a bit of interest here and at 7/2 in the latest markets there has been a bit of money come for him. A 3 year old colt by Dubai Destination, this fellow has plenty of potential and is well and truly capable of running a big race here. He seems to have come into his own since being stretched out and has now posted an impressive 3 wins and 4 seconds from 9 route attempts. A slight let up last start when 6th by 13.5 lengths can be put down to the step up in class and it looks to have been a fairly hot field. Look for improvement in him here, sure to give this one a fair crack for royalfarms.
Her Prize has drawn the 4th alley and from there should be given every chance of winning by gun jock M Zeus. Experience is on his side having stepped onto the track 46 times and that should hold him in good sted over a younger bunch. Although 6th last start, his form has been good enough to warrant him being a major player here, and maybe he will be able to etch a little closer to that illustrious half a million career earnings mark. Always tries his hardest, it would be no surprise if this fellow takes the honours come the weekend.
Aubrey has been well backed by punters and why not! This 4 year old looks to have it over his fellow contenders here and put simply, the bookies just aren’t prepared to lose money come the weekend. Next to a certainty, this fellow has run some scintillating final sectionals of late and was an unlucky 2nd in stakes company last time out after several solid allowance runs before that. Hard to fault his form and looks the one to beat for sure, Aubrey will be very tough to hold out.
Xanderman is a 6 year old with 8 wins to his name from 46 career outings. Another experienced campaigner, but doesn’t finish high enough often enough to really trouble the likes of Aubrey and Royfly’s Dubai. Working for him is the fact it’s a small field and he does have stakes experience under the belt. No doubt tazzzdevil will be wanting a big run from this guy but a 3rd place probably looks to be about his best hope here.
