The Black Jack Sal Special

Flyphard’s Event to take the Win?

This weekend, at the New Jersey track, The Black Jack Sal Special is the tenth race on the card. Thirteen colts and horses will fight for the win on seven furlongs of turf.

The front runners to pay close attention to, in this race, are Dixie Doodle, at (10/1) odds, who beat Machiavellian War in The Jose With Lord Memorial Stakes and topped 106 and Joe Positive, a six year old chestnut at (9/1) odds, who won the I-264 Turf Sprint, a Grade III race, by a length and a half and also won The Lezbaybe is Loaded Handicap Stakes, by an amazing three lengths! These two will battle for the front, setting fast pace fractions.

Cover Me NC, the seoncd oldest horse in the field, was beat by Machiavellian War, in The Pheasant River Bonanza Stakes by three length and a fourth. Flyphard’s Event, the favorite at (5/1) odds, and with excellent bloodlines, won his last two races, one of which he blew away the field at five and a half lengths! And Machiavellian War, a four year old chestnut colt. These three horses will be the off pace setters and mid runners to watch.

The closers in this field are Mirror Image, trained by isittrue, who ran an impressive race in The Pharivor Challenge, coming from eleventh place, in a field of thirteen in the first two-thirds of the race, to winning by a length and a half and a time of a minute and twenty-two seconds, and Danzing Cielo, trained by manni149, who won his last two races, The Petal Larry Memorial Stakes, by a length and three-fourths, and an allowence race, will both fight for odds at (8/1).

Centarus, the number six colt and at (13/1) odds,  Living Dead, who hasn’t won a stakes race yet and at (17/1), Goemon, trained by mitch20, King Caro, at (15/1) odds, and Celestial Wind, who won The OJIA Challenge Stakes, don’t hold much hope in The Black Jack Sal Special.

This could very well be a three horse race, between the front runner Joe Positive, trained by joplus, mid runner and favorite, Flyphard’s Event, trained by lafly, and the closer, Danzing Cielo. The question is, can Joe Positive go from wire to wire or will Flyphard and Danzing close in and give Joe a run for his money. Who will take The Balck Jack Sal Special?
