Four In Queen Second

Four In Queen Second

Puerto Rico – A small field of four will parade to the post in the Queen Second Stakes on what forecasters are predicting will be a warm and sunny day.  Saturday’s feature race is named after a 10YO mare that notched five wins from 32 starts.  She is a daughter of Broad Brush and not only I she a stakes winner but she is the dam of four foals to race – all winners.  The race is a mile and 5/8 and will be run over the main track for a purse of $45,000 by fillies and mares 3 years old and up.

Pgpg’s Bluffing (4/5) is one that is bred for the distance.  By Pine Bluff, she has four wins from 36 starts and was an easy winner at longer last time out.  She needs only one more win to be even with Queen Second and she would like it to be a stake as would her trainer Pgpg.  The dark bay or brown 4YO filly should certainly make the class jump and the distance will be a piece of cake.

The stallion Five is represented by the # 39th ranked long distance older mare, Enter Royal Love (9/5).  I have never heard of the stallion and so have no idea if the big bay mare resembles him or not, but she sure has the credentials to be there at the finish.  Trained by Iant, the 6 YO mare is the winner of the Denoia at 12 furlongs, the Contender Roller at 14 furlongs and was a closing second last time out in the Frosty Sea at 16 furlongs.

Too Much Speaking (7/2) is a well put together plain brown filly by another by a rather obscure sire – Speak.  The 4 YO has eight wins from 22 starts and was the wire to wire opening winner last time out of a 12 furlong allowance.  The former $4,000 claimer has really come into her own for trainer Kyinvader.   She is jumping in class yet again and will probably try to go gate to wire to win this.

The Cpu stable entered Cryptofay (6/1) and this is a very nice 7 YO mare.  By Cryptoclearance, the dark bay mare has won five of 11 starts including four of her last eight.  She was distanced last time out in the Forth winks but stumbled badly leaving the gate and almost lost her rider
