REVIEW -THE LADY BOURBON G3

This race delivered some surprises when it was all said and done Saturday afternoon in Kentucky. With no true favorites here
its was pretty much a free for all when the gates opened at race time. After a problem free gate load of the entries the starting
bell announced the start.
Suspect Delivery, River Is Dry and Distorted Sunlight broke quickest of the bunch with the rest settling into a pack stretched
along several furlongs. Cotton Haack, Petal Road and Union Express were the early trailers. Into the first turn Suspect Delivery
set the early pace with Distorted Sunlight stalking close and River Is Dry was running third. Serenade T and Diputada were 4th
and 5th not too far back from the pace. By the start of the second turn Distorted Sunlight overtook Suspect Delivery for the lead
with River Is Dry still in 3rd, Wild Magic had emerged from mid-pack to begin a strong run along the outside, picking off horses
steadily to move into 5th.
In the home stretch Distorted Sunlight had opened up a two length lead on Suspect Delivery, River Is Dry was hanging onto 3rd
but was beginning to fade. Cotton Haack had begun his run but had too much to do. Wild Magic put up a challenge in the last
furlong but would have to settle for second behind the winner Distorted Sunlight. Cotton Haack managed third with her late run,
and Diputada found abit more to get up for fourth.
Congrats to Distorted Sunlight and trainer aalex331 for their first G3 win and a career high speed of 107.
