Grade Race Tip Sheet 12/3 & 12/4

I got a few minutes this morning, so I thought I would throw together a tip sheet on all the Grade Level Races this weekend. And for the fun of it, we’ll make $2 win bets on my top pick, $2 exacta box wagers using all three picks ($12 total) and another $2 trifecta box wager ($12 total) on all three picks. Here are my selections:

LOS ANGELES TURF CUP G1

8-Tzinghalis 6/1-Monster win in Carlton Fisk taking top spot by nearly a half dozen lengths, can repeat.

9-Harp of Erin 7/1-A late closer who hits the board more times than he doesn’t, foolish not to add to exotic wages.

7-Santa’s Gift For U 27/1-Hey, it’s Christmas Time. How can you not include Santa? (Besides, I bred this one so I have my bias).

SAM’S TOWN DELTA JACKPOT G3

13-Insane Peace 7/2-Only two year old entrant to win stakes and took the G3 Nashua Special with 102 speed in last. Only one in field to hit 100-speed (charted 102 SP). He’s the one to beat.

7-Sadler’s Storm Tap 5/1-Won last two at mile distance, seems like this races 8.5 furlongs will be a nice fit, figures to go well again.

2-Ashgabat 8/1-Monster move from 7 back at half to win by almost a length. Capable of rolling over this field.

KING KONG MILE G1

3-NYSP Stands 6/1-Wide open event with many in the running. Going with this colt who has 115-speeds and up in four of last five, taking wins in each of those. Could be the one that “stands” above the rest

1-Neptune Park 9/1-Front runner that could break away from the field, which he did in last by 10 strides, winning by over a stride, and shocking 123 speed. Could be in peak lifetime form at right time.

9-Vomer 8/1-Won four in a row which ended in Dicaprio Handicap outing. Start of new streak is not out of the question.

KING KONG VASE G1

4-Smack My Bishop 9/2-On the board in all but one race this year and that one time he wasn’t was on an off-track. Hit 120 speed in last and looks solid.

8-Just Rally to King 6/1-Ran 113+ speeds in four straight races before having poor outing in last. Tossing last out as a fluke and expect better performance out of this front runner this time.

5-Ryans Praxis 31/1-Longshot is slow starter and hard, late closer that can eat up the ground late. Going 12 furlongs for first time and extra ground will give him more time to catch the leaders.

QUEEN OF THE COUNTY STAKES G3

6-Bristol Hit 3/1-Favorite comes off listed win with a 119 speed. He’s a tough one but has won two graded races this year. Looks to wrap up season with his third.

4-Tassadar 5/1-Hits the board everytime he runs a speed of 110 or better. I expect he’ll run a speed in this range and will be once again, on the board.

3-Just A Dream Away 12/1-Early speedster has raced four times at 9.5 furlongs, winning each time. Distance is his forte.

GIRLS CAP G3

7-Snake Eyez 14/1-Has won four in a row at 10-furlong distance. Five is not out of the question.

10-The Old Firm 15/1-Also has four race win streak at this 10-furlong distance, like top choice, fifth win can’t be ruled out.

9-Gal is Ghostzapper 13/1-Another one who likes the 10-furlong distance and comes off a 116 speed in last which was on off-track. Adds value to exotics.

PLEASURE STAKES G3

8-Violent Package 10/1-Two-year-old won listed going mile first time in last with 97 speed. Looks to be one who will like the route distance.

3-Poseido 11/1-Late runner who has done well in last two at 8.5-furlongs. Makes first stake appearance and I like his ability.

5-Take Your Chance 14/1-Versatile runner who can be close to the lead or come from behind. Don’t discount his ability.

JUVENILE FILLY G1

10-Sofi Ryan 5/1-Breeders’ Bowl Filly Juvy Turf winner notched 101 speed and has won three in a row. Last two at mile distance where her speeds have improved nicely. Adds another notch to the win streak.

9-Tiffany Watson 7/1-Chased top pick in Breeders’ Bowl and finished second. Has been first or second in each turf outing. Looking for her to connect with top pick again for exacta.

4-Right and Lies 10/1-Should be running late and has won her two outings at mile. Should be in play with exotic wagers.

HONG KONG SPRINT G1

8-Wash Rinse Repeat 6/1-Breeders’ Bowl winner in last with 116 speed. In top form and has three G1 wins this season. Why not a fourth?

9-Junglano 5/1-Long time G1 runner is a patient late runner. ITM 19 of 21 races and has the established consistency to be a factor in this one. Was third behind top pick in Breeders’ outing.

5-Omega Mare 9/1-Has a pair of G1 victories this season and hit 115 SP in last (Fujimoto Turf, G1). Won 5 of 7 this season and fits nicely in this affair.

KING KONG CUP G1

14-Country Dumb-8/1-Nice win in last with 118 speed. Late closer is serious threat and adds a furlong after running much of the season at 9-furlongs. Extra distance does not hurt.

11-Symbolik 8/1-Looking sharp since moving to grade level in July, won twice with a third in three races, all at 10-flanks. Eats up lots of ground late, and will be running down the front runners.

6-Mob Devious 6/1-Won 5 straight before finishing third in each of last three. Speeds of 112 and up over last eight make this one that needs to be included in exotic wagers.

LADY MARMALADE STAKES G3

8-Medicine Show 9/2-114+ speeds in last four. Won all 7 starts this year at claiming, starter allowance and listed stakes, in that order, all at mile distance. Won 15 of 18 starts, ITM each outing. Makes first grade level appearance. Looks like another chalk to the win column is coming.

9-Will Not Fit 4/1-Ill named horse does fit here. Won G1 Empire Rose at mile in last on off-track with 113 speed. Has three wins and secon in last four races. Capable of ruining top picks streak.

1-Lady of Animals 8/1-Front runner, since turning age four, has been ITM every time at a mile with three wins in five runs. Five year old should continue with this success.
