Holeshot: BKR RED GRIFFIN – There should be three runners likely to jump up out of the gates in attempt to the early lead: ADELAIDE SLEW, BKR RED GRIFFIN, and OZ STORM. BKR RED GRIFFIN brings the highest speed in the group, however the big reason I’m picking this runner is that he has fought neck to neck out of the gates and emerged to win out a speed heavy battle.

Favourite: OG STUDY OASIS (4/1) – NO DOUBT MAGIC is the favourite from the odds-makers, coming in off two graded starts, however he had a drop-off in his last outing. My pick for the favourite OG STUDY OASIS has been steadily improving and was just a head away from having a stakes win under his belt, if his trend of 4-6 speed bumps continues, OG STUDY OASIS could run away with this race.

Longshot: BKR RED GRIFFIN (10/1) – At 10-1 BKR RED GRIFFIN brings some value, and is coming off a huge jump in speed last time out, which was also his turf debut. If he can replicate his last run he should be a solid threat to the favourites.
