A field of fourteen locally trained three year olds will contest this middle distance test at Queensland on Saturday. The three main chances appear to be WHAT A STEAL 5/1 from the mgprice stable looks the likely leader and could prove hard to run past in the stretch. HUSSONET RIVER 6/1 from the bevroni barn is drawn well but will get back and need luck to get through the field. The filly DAMDITA is an improving type who has been retuning some very good SPs but will also get a long way out of her ground but at the odds of 12/1 looks a good gamble. Only win was over five and a half furlongs at Taiwan on dirt at second race start in a local bred Maiden. Last start was a well beaten third in a New Zealand Claiming Race over eight and a half furlongs. Looks outclassed here on current form.

Started a long odds on favourite on debut at Surrey at his first start and finished powerfully to score a good win and then was sixth at the same track when stepped up to a mile. Improving type who will appreciate the distance here.
