Hello and welcome to the Big Apple for the running of the Manhattan District Stakes GII on this lovely spring day. We have a competitive field of 9 fillies taking the gate today including 3 of the top 15 ranked dirt sprinters. In addition, we have some fillies climbing up the ranks and seeking their first GS victory which should make for a rather interesting race. Let’s examime this fine looking group going 7f on a fast track today and see if we can pick up some scarol and then go mangia at Don Peppe’s on the way home!

Not as battle-tested and many in here but most capable at a price should she step it up another notch!

Too short a price here considering all of her 3 career wins came in her first 5 starts and she has been relatively cold since. Making 14th start already and question how much she has in the tank, especially facing many of these. Look elsewhere.

Would consider a dirt route in the near future regardless of outcome here. Look elsewhere.

This most impressive looking mare is coming off back to back GII’s wins over this same distance including the GII Stoner where she basically blew the doors off what appeared to be a very strong and competitive bunch which doesn’t bode well for the rest of this field. The only thing not to like about her is her short price here. Sick!

Having won her first 2 starts she hasn’t found the winners circle since. Her best run came 3 back in the GIII Rachael Alexandra where she finished 2nd going 7.5f. Like what connections are doing here dropping her back to 7f but this is a tough spot for her with what is expected to be a brisk pace not to mention her likely front end duel with that sick filly coming out of the 7 hole!.
