Stratum Anzac Review

Anzac Maiden Invitational

Stratum Progeny

2 Year Olds Restricted to Queensland Residents

Five and one half furlongs — Firm Turf

The Stratum two year old SINCEYOU scored a surprise win in the first of the Anzac Restricted Races leading throughout to score a strong win. In the early stages he was challenged for the lead by TUI”S POISON and COUNTER PROPOSAL with DK LILLEE racing just off the pace behind them. Sinceyou finally got the best of Tui’s Poison and then withstood a good finish from DK Lillee to score. Tui’s Poison hung on well for third. Both STRATOFORTRESS and STRATUM LAD finished strongly and will both appreciate a longer trip.

Sinceyou was somewhat friendless in the betting ring and started at 35/1 without much support even surprising the owner brit9. DK Lillee also surprised his owner masterm01 who said before the race that he expected her to run well but midfield would be a great result. Tui’s Poison who did well to hang on for third was well supported by the stable xpress who landed a number of good each way bets at 16/1.
