The Ozark Recap

What a fantastic day of racing. The Bargain Bred Racing Series had three stakes races this week, and we will take a look at the Ozark now. The dirt was fast, and so were the SP’s. It was a great race from start to finish, and just as I had predicted, the two and the six horses, True New Yorker and Post Fever came in first and second. The third place finisher was Western Score.  And now let’s take a look at how each horse fared.

Coming in first today was True New Yorker. This guy was not to quick out of the gate, and let the others set the pace. After the first and second call this guy was in the six spot. He then turned on the heat and was second by the third call. He then sealed the deal taking away down the stretch to win by three lengths. The final SP was a 93.

The second place finisher, Post Fever, tried to make a move late, but was denied by True New Yorker. This guy sat way off the pace and was in dead last for the first two calls. He was sitting at 8 ¾ lengths off the pace before making his move. He was then 4th at the third call before taking second three lengths behind the winner. The final SP was an 89.

Western Score takes home the bronze today, and was the surprise of the race. This guy, at 15/1 odds, and only a claimer race under his belt ran a smooth 84 SP to take third in today’s race. He set the pace early and was in first for all three calls before surrendering the lead in the stretch. His biggest lead was 3 ½ at the 2nd call.

Coming in fourth was African Porcupine. This guy tried to stalk the pace as he sat just in front of Post Fever for the first two calls. He was even in sixth at the third call and was seven lengths back before coming out down the stretch to reserve his spot in the money and in fourth place. He ran an SP of 82.

Fifth place belongs to Ultimate Betrayal.  This guy tried to make it a go down the stretch, but just did not have enough.  He was four horses off the lead after the first and second calls before making his way to third at the third call.  He did not have enough in the end though, and finished fifth.  The final SP for Ultimate Betrayal was 80.

The sixth place horse was Video Killed.  Though this guy neither killed the radio star or the other horses he did give it all he had.  He started off the race in the five spot for the first two calls.  He was then seventh after the third call before gaining back a spot to finish the race at sixth.  He heads out of the race with a 73 SP.

Those that do not think girls can hang with boys should take a look at this girl.  Though she finished in the seven spot, Pepe’s Bat gave it all she had.  She opened up trying to keep pace with Western Score and was in third for the first and second calls.  She just did not have enough gas and finished the race seventh.  Her SP was 71.

Our final competitor was another that was in the race early. Courtroom Drama was sitting in the two sport after calls one and two before dropping to the eighth spot after call three. The eight spot is where she finished the day, and ended up being only 21 lengths behind the winner. The final SP was a 66.

Well that wraps it up here from beautiful and sunny Arkansas. In my pre-race article I had the 2 and 6 horses in first and second and said it would be a battle for third which it was. I see no reason why any trainer should be upset about the race today as everyone gave it their all. It is not easy to breed a Bargain Bred, so give yourselves a pat on the back. Thanks to everyone for reading and remember for all of your Sim racing coverage head on over to the BTB Forum.  This has been Dylan with your post race recap of The Ozark. Thanks everyone and goodnight here from Arkansas.
