England, Rain, Horse Racing, What More Could You Ask For
Hello everyone and welcome to another fine day of racing here in the Sim. The BTB (Black Type Bugler) is taking a trip overseas to bring you coverage of today’s race. We are here in Newmarket, England to bring you coverage of what looks like a small but competitive field in the Nell Gwyn Stakes. We have a group of seven horses going seven furlongs on the yielding turf for their shot at a piece of that 150,000 prize purse. This race is carded as a Grade III race, and will be the 12th carded race today. And now the call to track as we meet our runners.
1. In post position number one today we have Obama’s The Adult. Matrepok sends this three year old mare into the race after placing in the top three in the last three races. Though SP’s have been on the low end, it appears that this girl has shown that she can hang in the bigger races. She has many SP’s in the low 90’s and looks to improve on those today. Sitting at 6/1, this girl will get jockey R. Stelle in today’s race.
2. In post position number two today we have Sacrilegious. Icbomber1 sends this Sea the Stars foal into the race with just six career races under her belt. In those six races she has failed to let him down though as she has four wins one second, and a third and has not failed to hit the board yet. She is three for three her last three races, and looks to improve on that 97 SP last time out. Though she has not tried Graded company yet, this looks to be the perfect. Sacrilegious is currently listed at 7/2, and gets jockey I. Jones for the ride.
3. In post position number three today we have Arcane Barrage. This girl comes into today’s race with ten races under her belt, but the last four have all been listed stakes. Though she has not dominated those races, she has held her own, finishing that stretch with two wins, a second, and a third. Her last races have been the best so far finishing first and earning herself a 95 SP. She has only two dirt runs early in her career, so you know she is very used to the grass. She is a 6/1 shot in today’s race and owner sheedy93 will get jockey A. Craig for the ride.
4. Getting to the half way point of this small field we have Stormaker. Yes because of the small field today, this is already the half way point of the carded horses. This horse could be an interesting one though. This girl has only six races under her belt and only four races on the grass, but she has made the most of them. The last race was a smooth 94 SP win in a listed stakes. Owner tripcrown9 hopes that she can get her first graded win today after missing out in the Vermont Is 4 Lovers Grade I. She will get jockey B. Fly for the ride and is currently sitting at 5/1.
5. Starting the downhill climb we go to Queyras. As we start the decent, we come to a three year old filly who comes into today’s race with more races on the dirt then the turf. Her dirt record is a pretty good two wins and two seconds in five races. She has run a high of 86 SP on the dirt. You may ask why the turf then. Well in three career turf races this girl has three wins. Yes she has not lost on the turf, and SP’s are only getting better. In her first graded try on turf, this girl looks to go four for four. She will get jockey L. Perry for the ride and owner arameo likes the odds of 9/2.
6. In the six spot we have Dansilly. This girl out of the tenpin2 stable will hope that her 9/2 odds will be a prophecy to her performance. This girl has only one blemish in her first stakes try on the turf. Other than that race she is a perfect five for five. He high SP is only a 96, but she has shown that she can hang with some of the best as she is two for three in listed stakes. She gets jockey J. Bradley for the ride today.
7. Rounding out today’s field in post position number seven we have Lucky’s Dodie. This girl may be the last mentioned, but certainly not the least. After starting her career on the dirt, this girl moved to the turf and has not disappointed yet. She has shown that she can run SP’s of 97 on the turf, and looks to improve on them SP’s today. She is no newbie to the graded ranks either as she has run in plenty in her career. Tristen181 will hope that jockey T. Cooper can bring home the win today aboard this 3/1 shot.
With so many low odds, and so little horses, it would be very tough for me to make a prediction let alone lay down Sim money on today’s race. If I had to put a 2 dollar, or Euro, which ever you prefer, bet down on this race I would probably go with the 5, 6, 7, tri-fecta box. Which would total 6 dollars or Euros. Well that is it here from England. I want to thank you for reading my article today and want to remind you that for all of your Sim racing coverage head on over to the BTB forum. This has been Dylan with your prerace preview. Thanks again for reading and let the racing begin!!
