Coming from stall 1 is EMPTY CAGE(SAF). He is trained and owned by GR8WHITE and is bred HINTON WELLS x EVENT OF THE YEAR x PHARLY(FR) with a record of 31 races and 11 wins and 9 places with 4 shows and a prize total of $ 408.068. This 4 year colt has had some hard races in the past. His last race was at the distance of 12f on the turf where he finished 3rd of 6 horses with a speed rating of 101 and was beaten by 2 and half lengths. His last win came in a local bred race at the distance of 13f and with a speed rating of 88, but bar for that he really hasn’t figured in a race after that. He’s been rather outclassed. He will try and come from off the pace, sit around third in the pack and then try to make his run, but I can’t see him getting past 4th place today. He wll find two of them far too good for him this week so he might try for third place but I predict 4th.
Coming from stall 2 is CASH GRAB(AUS). He is trained and owned by BLAZSADCFO and is bred by RED RANSOM x MANILA x CAERLEON and has a track record of 11 races with 3 wins, 1 place, and 1 show and earning a total prize pot $76.538. This guy is the outsider of the field at the odds of 19/1 and he might be worth a sneaky show bet after his last run at the distance of 12f turf and a speed rating of 100. But it’s the way he won the race that I like. He won with plenty in hand. The race was an allowance, nw3l and he
won by 3 lengths so he might sneak a place from this.
Coming from stall 3 is the fav HARD VICTORY(AUS). Trained and owned by jacklad and bred by HARADASUN (AUS) x KINGMAMBO x STORM CAT he has a record of 26 races, 9 wins, 2 places, and 6 shows and a prize total of $625.436. This guy deserves to be the fav in the morning line. He’s been in some class races and his last race was the G1-Vermillion Stakes which he ran a excellent third of 13 horses and a speed rating of 110 . I think thats well good enough to take this today I predict he will make the running and won’t get pegged back so victory looks sweet today. A few races ago on 06/12/10 he won a G3 at the distance of 10f turf and with a speed rating of 112. I predict a strong first place today
Coming from stall 4 is the KING OF TURF ROUTERS MR DANIEL himself . I caught up with him early in the morning in the stables and I asked him a few questions. If you know him he’s a man of few words and I asked him how does he rate his chances in this race. He told
me he’s as good as any and I have a great chance. He’s not been sent there to make up numbers, hes there to win the race so I won’t be surprised to see him come back the winner. I asked him again, why did you book yourself as jockey for today and he just laughed at me and said “Who knows how to ride my own horse any better then me?” Well what can you say about that – nothing. SADLER ROCK(IRE) is bred by ROCK OF GIBRALTAR (IRE) x SADLER’S WELLS x RAINBOW QUEST and has a track record of 13 races, 4 wins, 4 places, 1 show and a prize total of $104.225. This guy’s last race was a nice prep for this race at the distance of 12f on the turf and he ran a good 2nd of 6 in allowance nw4x race with a speed rating of 101 so I reckon this guys up for the job. I predict 2nd for this guy, but he’s got a excellent future in front of him ..
Coming from stall 5 is WILD GIRLS(KY), trained and owned by THEPONTIF and is bred by FOREST WILDCAT x GREEN DESERT x SADLER’S WELLS. He has the record of 37 races, 10 wins, and 6 places, and 7 shows, and a prize pot of $232.079. I think this guy will struggle in todays field, not so much that he’s a bad horse, just looks like he hasn’t progressed as he should have. I predict he will finish 5th in this race. His last race was at the distance of 9.5f turf which saw him run 4th of 9 with a speed rating of 98. He does need to step it up if he wants to do well in graded races.
1st HARD VICTORY(AUS) shouldn’t find it too hard to win today
2nd SADLER ROCK(IRE) should get better and better as time goes on
3rd CASH GRAB(AUS) should finish third but will battle it out with the 4th
4th EMPTY CAGE(SAF) should finish 3rd or 4th – its a hard one to call.
5th WILD GIRLS(KY) might struggle in this class
