This 4yr old son of Montjeu comes in with a 714 rank at long on the turf. This versatile colt comes into the overnight stake with some very nice success in the allowance ranks. The colt can take the lead or come from slightly off the pace. Some very nice speed figs also. Jockey King is having a solid meet.

Koolaid sends out this nicely bred son of War Emblem off a second place finish in a Vermont allowance. Emblemhas been competitive in overnight stakes and has just missed winning by a nose and a head, but that was quite awhile ago. He has never won a stake race and he’ll need to step it up a bit to take this. Still, not impossible. Jockey Johnson will not hurt.

Perdido5 sends out this son of Authorized who has been competitive in small allowance fields. However, he will have to raise his game to take down the top prize here. Jockey Smith not having a good meet.

Bearfan sends out this hard knocking 5 year old son of Holy Roman Empire. Currently ranked 538 on the long turf, Campobello has not won in quite awhile.He doesn’t seem to be in top form either. Campo has won overnight stakes before, but the last time was way back in Dec. 2008. Bearfan did secure the services of jockey Prescott, so there is a possibility that Campo can be competitive here.

Rstjm4 sends out  this 4 year old son of Sinddar who, until his last race, was really rolling! Legend had run off three beautiful races in a row with speed figs no lower than 108 before throwing in a clunker in his last. Legend has been competitive in graded races and , if he returns to the prior form shown before his last race, he will be tough here. Well spotted by his trainer.

Though Lord has a nice record, he has been running for mostly smaller purses. This four year old son of Castledale will have to improve his speed figs to take down the top prize. Not impossible, but prefer others. Jockey Vanhorse has his work cut out for him.

Generous odds for a horse who has recently won the Grade 2 Carlsbad at 12f on the turf.  This tough 4yo son of REDOUTE’S CHOICE (AUS) has the chance to make somebody a hefty return on a win bet. Obviously, Bussleton did not like the soft stuff in his last, so do NOT let that deter you from playing him. A live play and has a very hot jock in Elliott. Current rank of 75 and I like his chances.

This well bred son of Vindication comes off a 2 and ½ month long rest in Elzid’s attempt to get him back on track.He does like the distance and Elzid secures the services of a very hot jock in Gerhke for this 4 yr old’s return to the track. Will probably need a race but has hit the board possibilities.

 

Looks like an exciting field with many possibilities. My pick for the winner’s circle? Busselton followed by Legend Thriller and Monchavelli. Enjoy and good luck!!!
