Immunity Challenge
After taking a year off for the second time in 6 years of playing the sim, I was very interested in restarting again for some reason. I decided to try and start with a clean slate only keeping about 15 of my then 100 horses. Of those 15 horses, I raced them all the next week, and went 1-2-2-1-2. Not a bad week at all for horses that had not raced in a year. My winner, a four year old mare that I had claimed for 20k, had just raced in an allowance race where she ran second right before my break. I raced her in a 15k claim, and she ran amazing, running a 98 SP and winning at 8 FL on the turf. I was so disappointed to see that out of the 15 horses I kept, 5 had been claimed that week, including my winner. I was down to 10 horses to begin my road to recovery.
Over the next few weeks, I saw my number of horses rise, as did my number of stables. I created three new stables looking for a new residency experience as the only residency I had known was GR Simsters. I then came upon the Blazing Saddles Residency. It was the feeling of a new trainer all over again. Claim, feel disappointed because your best claimer got claimed, and claim again. The feeling of wanting more was rising in my like it had those long summer months back in 2004 when I created my first stable. Finally I got some breeding help, and with the help of skunk, I bred my first horse since returning to the sim. Using credits earned from writing BTB articles, I bred a horse with the sire name Tanino Gimlet. I was finally going to have a Graded winner, or so I thought.
The days seemed fly by awaiting the week I trained for that young Gimlet. Finally the day came, I ran that Gimlet that Skunk had helped me breed. Though it ran 4th, it was one of the best showings by a newly bred that I had even had. (I know 4th right haha) I could not take it anymore. It seemed as though I had no horses going each week, even though I had about 10-15, but I had to have more. I created three more stables without even thinking about what I was doing. While in the chat one day, I met a now great great friend of mine when CMD entered the chat room. When asked if I was a CC member, squirrel told him that I was not. She then proceeded to tell him that I was a BS’er. At the time, I was a little angry with what squirrel had said. Squirrel had always been a nice person to me, and I had enjoyed learning her tips to the game. I asked what that was all about, and I found out the chat lingo she was using, and all anger was gone. Squirrel told me to check out CC, and maybe add a few stables there. It was the perfect setup for my 3 newly created stables. I was a member that night.
So here I am at CC. I have found many new friends like well……… CMD. I always love the very nice names he comes up with when talking to me. I have a new one each week. He seems like a great guy. No I am not the one who compared him to an old man with a shot-gun yelling at kids to get off of his lawn. But I have to admit that that was the best explanation that anyone had given to him. Ok so maybe I did give that title to him, but it was all in good fun right?? I know that we are best of friends, and you took that well. I have also joined my first contest at CC. I got them to put in a special rule for me too, so they must really like me. Comedyvivor is the name of the contest I entered my 3 stables into. It’s just like Survivor where they eliminate a person each week, well the lowest tribe here eliminates a stable each week. I have to tell you that I thought I was going to go 3 for 3 as the first two weeks saw stables dydalt8 and dydalt7 go bye bye. Always hope for dydalt6 though as it was still in it going into this week..
So there is my sim life right now. I know that the immunity challenge was supposed to be about your time in CC, but that would have been boring since I have been there a little over a month. Yes now that you all have read this article, you know that I did this to keep dydalt6 alive in the contest. Maybe squirrel will even give me a couple of credits for staying up on this Saturday night to write this article. Here is to winning immunity, and comedyvivor!!
