KING’S EASY CHOICE(AUS)

9/1

Comedy Central entry – 5yo scratch bred horse sired by Redoute’s Choice.  Started his career on turf and won 1st time out.  Switched to dirt in his 3yo season and had many ITM finishes in allowance events.  He then was placed in two high claiming events where he dominated to finish conditions while at the same time being claimed by present owner.  Now he mainly goes back to his roots as a turfer and is doing very well at distance allowance level.  Hasn’t as yet won a stakes of any kind and will try to cash a check in this short field.

Lower Alabama entry – 6yo scratch bred mare by Carnegie.  This is another entry of a mare that finds herself in the position of having to race against the boys because of the shortage of marathon events for females.  She struggles to keep up in allowance events with her own kind, but she’s probably sharp and this is all that the owner can find at present.  After a long layoff before the start of 2010, she’s trying to get into the form in which she was the middle of last year.

2/1

Hong Kong entry – 4yo lightly raced scratch bred colt by Kingmambo.  Only nine starts to date with four wins.  Impressive SP’s mark him as a potential star for the future.  He appears to be the one to catch in this.  This will be a test of his ability to become more than just a classic distance runner.  It appears his best distance lays from 10-12f.  However, his speed may get him so far into the lead as to hang on for a victory.  His class will also determine his fate as that is yet to be determined.

8/5

GRsimsters entry – 6yo scratch bred champion sired by Rock Hard Ten.  Max doesn’t need to much of an introduction as he has been around for a while and is a multi-graded winner of some big events.  He can take it to the front or stalk and we will have to see if he wishes to go with the inside horse or taunt him for most of this event.  With a horse of this caliber in a field that is fairly weak, he has that luxury.  With that being said, he still appears to like 12f better.  Clearly the class here.

Non-resident entry – 5yo horse out of an “F” rated mare and sired by Beat Hollow.  The horse seems to be comfortable on either surface when going long.  He was claimed early in his 3yo season before he started to mature as a distance threat.  After a few str/allow races to see what he could do going long he started to take on allowance events at 14-16f on both turf and dirt.  He’s a listed stakes winner and has placed in some graded races.  He should be in the mix at the wire.

9/2

GRsimsters entry – 4yo colt out of a “G” rated mare and sired by High Chaparral.  With only 17 starts and 8 wins this lightly raced colt is still trying to find his place in the sim.   Shows much potential as a classic distance runner, but is putting up figures in pretty short fields.  One has to take note of his racing on dirt just one time and showing some close in that.  His momma was successful on dirt and this punter thinks he may have more to offer in that respect.  However, this is 2f farther then he has ever gone, so we’ll have to see.  Many of us would like to play around with this colt.

Trifecta – 4/3,5,6  good luck to all.
