An even 6 horse field gathers in
With a purse of $50,000 in the Hungry Ton Bonanza 6 horses were attracted for this 2yo Filly Stakes over 7 Furlongs on Turf.
1 – Hot Sauce Demoss (AUS) – 2/1
Reset (AUS) x Storm Cat x
Record: 5 (2-1-1)
– Daughter of Freshman sire Reset who was 5 from 5 before being retired to stud in Real Life. She is on fire at the moment with 2 wins on the trot. Unbelievably her first 4 starts were on dirt and she surprisingly did well with a MSW win with a 78SF. Last time out she tried turf for the first time in a Allowance where she won in fine style.
2 – Rainbow Finister G – 7/2
Mining x Pine Bluff x Storm Cat
Record: 8 (2-1-2)
– This daughter of Mining comes from Post number 2 in this race. She seems to be going better with distance this filly and she drops down a furlong here. She is capable of coming ITM in stakes races but I don’t think so in this one.
3 – High Drama – 7/2
High Chapparal x Lammtarra x Theatrical
Record: 6 (2-1-2)
– Here comes a daughter of High Chapparal who is very inbred into Northern Dancer on the Sires Sire line. She found 7.5F last start where she strode to a Allowance win with a 79 speed figure. If she runs as well as last start she could come in the top 3.
4 – Western Robbery T – 6/1
Turkoman x Gone West x Roberto
Record: 5 (1-1-2)
– This filly doesen’t belong in Stakes Company. The trainer keeps looking for small fields and trying to earn money. Is only capable of running 66SF’s which is probably Claiming SF’s. Her luck of finding easy short field will come to a end here and I think she will come last.
5 – Elphaba – 3/1
Storm Boot x Consquistador Cielo x Cox’s Ridge
4 (4-0-0)
– Most horses in this race are probably scared of this undefeated filly. She has a nice influence of Mr. Prospector through her pedigree. She has had 4 wins on the trot and is improving with distance. In her 2nd start she won a Allowance with a 76SF over 6F. Her next 2 starts were over 5.5 Furlongs where she won a Allowance and a Stakes in not as good style. She is the one to beat and will have a nice clash with the favourite.
6 – Macho Macho Sooz – 6/1
Macho Uno x Chimes Band x Lil E Tee
6 (2-1-1)
– This daughter of Macho Uno has been raced a fair bit this season but is showing to be up to the class. In her last 4 starts which were all Turf she has never been out of the money with a Stakes win, 2nd & 3rd. Her dad is by Holy Bull who is a bit of a dirt sire. The mother of Macho earned other $200,000 being a Dirt Sprinter. But this one seems to like the turf and if she can get in 2nd place she could be a bit of a challenge.
Selections
Hot Sauce Demoss should go on and win this race just over Elphaba who is currently undefeated. Third is too tough to call.
