Finland Stakes Review

The feature race in Finland on Saturday was The JOSEPH’S PRIDE Special for two-year-olds over seven furlongs on turf, for a purse of $60,000. A.P. Sailorman, My Own Turbo(IRE) and Celerity were the leaders in the early stages of the race, then My Own Turbo(IRE), trained by gael1 took up the running around the half-way point and went on to win by two and a quarter lengths under K. Bobango. Second was Celerity, the favourite, and third was Stretch Million, who was beaten a total of three and a quarter lengths.

This was the third victory of the winner’s career and he now stands at number eleven in the juvenile turf sprint rankings, although he will probably improve with a greater distance of ground.
