All I Want For Christmas Cup
All I Want For Christmas Allowance
Wallop(Aus) – Prolific allowance horse with good win strike rate. Has gone ok in stakes being placed with a good speed.
Movie House – Stakes winner as a 3yo and is going great guns in allowances as a 4yo. Last run was an eyecatching 2nd with a career best speed figure
Powerform – Another stakes winner who is in good form with the exception of a poor run last start in a Group 1 race. Ran best speed figure just before that.
Dazzler(Eng) – A multi stakes winner, this is probably the best performed over a good period of time. It is Group placed and consistantly runs seriously good speeds.
Double Story(Ire) – Rising through the grades very well. Multi allowance winner and stakes placed. Another who runs very good speeds. Has a victory over Dazzler which showed it’s potential to win this.
Headbuster(Eng) – Yet another multi allowance winner and stakes placed horse. Last 6 starts have been run at a fast clip.
King Of Montville – Won an allowance on turf before going off line for over 4yrs. This 7yo came back with a slashing victory in a dirt allowance. Another win followed last time out. All runs have been on dirt since its return to racing.
Birdman – Has won only 2 allowances but wow, what great speeds. Certainly this youngster’s potential will bring it into contention. Has won 3 from 6 and the trainer has been known to provide the odd miracle or two.
Island Warrior(Ire) – Won 2 allowances by 4.5 and 5.5 lengths. Ran in a group 2 race 2 starts back so the trainer has a big opinion of it. Has a great place record.
Noir In A Breeze(Swe) – Won 2 allowances the last one being its last start returning a 101 speed figure. A horse on the improve.
Wonnaby Madder(Tur) – Very consistant. Has won 2 from 7 on turf. Hasn’t been tested to this degree before so it will be good to see how it goes.
Lizzie’s Effect(Ire) – Stakes placed as a 3yo it’s last win was 2 starts back in a restricted $30k claimer. Too experienced to right off but there are some great performers in this.
Graig Stadler(Ire) – Hasn’t raced under 10 f for 21 starts so has racked up the miles. Last win was a restricted $30k claimer.
Top Linen(Aus) – Very lightly raced 5yo. It’s two victories have been routes one of which being a $7k allowance. Wouldn’t think it will trouble the big guns, but stranger things have happened.
Pragmatic Pony(Aus) – Best win was a $40.5k allowance 5 starts back. Very consistant placegetter this grade, but hasn’t been tested in stakes company as yet.
Surreptitiously – Has been running in allowances all around Europe. It’s last win though was 20 June 2008 in Qld where it has won 2 from 3 starts. Obviously loves running here, so don’t fully dismiss it if it gets a start.
Two Miles(Aus) – Broke its maiden a few starts back and is allowance placed.
