2009 Junvenile Preseason Statistics

Another Juvenile preseason has come to a close, and it is time to see how the early competition stacks up!!! This year’s preseason saw 310 races run and 4026 runners. Both race count and runners were downfor 2009 and average speeds were up about a half a point over all, with dirtavrages down a bit, and turf averages up. The speed distribution curve stayed about the same, with the bulk of runners centered in the 51-60 speed range. Three horses ran speeds over 80 as compared to six last year.
