Tale of Seattle Turning Into a Legend?

Tale of Seattle was the tale of this race at Saratoga today. The MARNING SPECIAL Stakes was a five and a half furlong turf Stakes for two year old fillies and run under beautiful autumn New York skies.

The Phone Trick filly, Tale of Seattle proved to be the class of this race and continued her winning ways. She has now won three Stakes races in a row and five races of her first six with a near-miss second in her other race. She keeps improving her times and seems to really like the five and a half furlong races. Trainer Irishgal has quite a little filly on her hands needs to figure out where she wants to point her now. Will she look to Graded Stakes or perhaps a certain filly race held in Kentucky next May? Tale of Seattle likes to run just off the pace and has an explosive burst at the end. Amazing jockey N. Lawton had her placed just right in this race and guider her home with his usual deft hand.

High on JB, who led most of the race and finished second, just didn’t have enough left at the end to contend with Tale of Seattle. Moon Brisson finished nearly five back in third and never threatened. Trainer DKYoung has some big decisions to make with Quagaars who has now finished dead last in both her stakes races on different surfaces and different distances.

It will be interesting to see where Tale of Seattle goes from here as she may turn out to be a really good one.
