The DYNAMING Special
This weeks stakes event at Missouri features a mid-sized field of 7 horses 3yrs old and up going a mile and a quarter on a fast dirt track. This looks to be a good race as these 7 ponies are each trying to take home the lions share of the $45,000 purse. Here is a look at this weeks entries.
1 # 9856 Blender Bev(IRE)- Trained by snappa this 6yr old brown horse by (River Of Kings(IRE) X Blakeney(GB) X Prince John) is going away as one of the two entries at 3-1. His last 4 starts have been in stakes races and he is yet to not bring home some money. Two starts back was a 2nd in a G1 at Texas with a 103 sp. His start before that was an ungraded win with a 104sp. He loves the distance and also likes closing, so look for this fella to be flying at the end.
2 # 88983 Daen Hollandia– This 4yr old colt is going away as the morning line favorite with 2-1 odds. Trainer pellegrino looks to have this son of ( Danehill X Miswaki X Seattle Slew) ready for this race. His last start was at this track in an ungraded stakes race in which he finished 4th with a 97sp. While that will not win this race this week, he has shown some nice runs just a few starts back and you can look for him to be closing down the stretch as well.
3 # 8945 Desert Quest(IRE)– Going away with odds of 7-1 this 5 year old son of ( Desert King (IRE) X Rainbow Quest X Mujtahid) looks like he could easily steal the show. Trainer donkey has been racing this horse primarily in ungraded stakes races this year and he has only missed 2 cheques. But on the flip side he hasn’t won one yet this year. You can probably count on him to be close to the leaders when it comes down to the wire, and hey it might even just be his day, he has been knocking on the door latly and he seems bound to get in sometime.
4 # 26972 Sing El– This 5yr old grey horse trained by win7930 is coming off 2 months rest. Although this son of ( Peintre Celebre(IRE) X El Prado(IRE) Crepello(GB) ) showed some nice runs before his time off its hard to say how he is going to come back. With odds of 6-1 he doesn’t look like a sure shot and this race could just be a conditioning race for him. But if he has his old form look to see him close to the front and hanging around at the end, who knows maybe a little rest was just what the doctor ordered!
5 # 93025 Flytastic Indy– Another 6-1 shot this 3yr old colt has shown some flair but just needs to show some more consistancy. He won his stakes debut 6 starts back and has only missed 2 cheques since then but his sp’s have been everywhere from 90-101. Another horse who likes being close to the front, if this ( Fantastic Light X A.P. Indy X Summer Squall) tomsfly trainee runs close to what he can he will be in the ticket and possible in the winners circle.
6 # 4192 Sir Disturbed- This 9 year old ( Kasual Kris X Cure The Blues X Grey Dawn II) horse goes off as the longshot at 10-1. It looks like his best days are behind this fella though. 10 starts back he won a 9.5f stakes race with a 110 but he has been declining since. Trained by cooljoee29 he will be looking to pick up and minor check in this one if any.
7 # 57896 Distant Thunder– The other 3-1 shot in this field. This horse has shown he can handle this distance on both surfaces. Trained by lilthunder this 6 year old horse is by (Thunder Gulch X With Approval X Cozzene). He has shown some ability in stakes races having a good record in his last 3 ( 1 win and 2 seconds). If he runs close to his ability he will be on the board.
Well that is this weeks field! Looks like it will be an interesting race. The odds say it will come down to three horses but I think there are 5 in here with a shot. The stretch drive should be interesting!
