1 | SMOKEY THEATRE( | 8/1 | GRsimsters entry – winner of two G3’s and multiple listed stakes. This filly out of a “D” rated mare sired by Theatrical loves the front end and likely will be setting or close to the pace out of the gate. She’s ranked 24th in her division and has a decent jock in
2 | PRESSURE DROP( | 11/1 |
DelPenn entry – 5yo mare scratch bred to Galileo. At present her credentials say, she probably won’t fair well in this class. She has done well sprinting and up to 9f. All her wins in stakes have been listed events. The few times she has gone past 9f haven’t been good. SP’s also are below others in this.
3 | CRAFTY GROOMER(KY) | 7/1
4 | LENSHAFT(KY) | 11/1 |
GRsimsters entry – This filly’s only G-win came as a 2yo. She’s been running down under in allowances lately and is very sharp at present. Shipping back to the States and jumping into this company is a big move for her. A mid-pack runner with talent, but a tough task here.
5 | SKULLCRUSHER(KY) | 5/1 |
GRsimsters entry – Filly has four G-wins to date and is ranked 4th in her division. She’s a 9f specialist, but has tripped the wire at ten before. Her last out was won with a whopping 116 SP! That race was preceded by two other wins. With only 19 starts and 10 W’s, she is a force that will eventually take her to the top. Depending on how the race starts out will determine her plan of attack as she is a very versatile runner. One to beat.
6 | 11/1 |
Rash entry – Lightly raced filly with only 15 starts. She’s the best progeny to date out of a “G” rated mare. Her trainer is still trying to figure her out, but we all wish we had that problem J She has two G-wins to her credit and 1.7 mil in her bag, but as of late has been struggling against this company. Can she get it together for this?
7 | 12/1 |
Independent entry – 6yo mare scratch bred to
8 | CLOSE COVER BEFORE(KY) | 99/1 |
Blazing Saddles entry – This 3yo filly will be so awed at the company in this; that she may never leave the gate J
9 | VIN DENIAL(KY) | 22/1 |
GRsimsters entry – 3yo filly with 10 starts and ½ mil in the bank, is a hot prospect for the future. Speed galore and a perfect rabbit for the Simster’s entries. There’s no telling how she will fare in this, but she’s a filly to keep our eyes on in the future.
10 | CACHE(SAF) | 10/1 |
Alpine Turf Club – Two G-wins for this mare who is scratch bred to Horse Chestnut. She hasn’t had a lot of success lately at this level, although in May she managed a decent 2nd place finish. She hasn’t won since 3/07 and probably needs a softer race to get her back on track. Maybe even another try on dirt would help.
11 | STRICKEN | 6/1 |
DelPenn entry – 5yo mare out of a good “open to all” broodmare. She has one G-win and that coming in her last out. She is a 9f specialist as attested by her prior history. Recent form says she may get a piece of the pie, but this appears not to be her distance.
12 | ODARAIN | 9/1 | ||||
13 | MISTY | 19/1 |
DelPenn entry – Older mare that’s been around the block more than once. She has one G-win in the summer of last year, but all in all not really a threat in most. Her SP’s of late don’t match up to be a threat here but she is sharp at present.
14 | OTTO CAPITAL | 8/1 |
GRsimsters entry – Multiple G3 winner is this 6yo mare. She does all her damage on the front end and is another rabbit for the simsters plan of attack. This gal just may hang on for the W. Eleven W’s in 32 starts ain’t bad.
With five GRsimster’s entries…it’s hard to pick against them.
