PP # 1 Silver Splendor (KY)            @ 7-1

Silver Splendor is a three year old multiple graded winning daughter of Badge of Silver, out of a Danzig mare.  After running on the turf as a two year old and one turf race at the first of her three year old year, Squity made a switch to dirt.  After a great dirt campaign she ran on turf last out for a Graded score with a 102 speed figure over a wet turf track at seven furlongs.  In her lone turf route she faded towards the end.  Squity says he has her conditioned to run a mile in this one though.  Her true test will be if she can compete with these older horses.  Look for her to be sitting mid pack down the backstretch and make a move coming around the final turn.

 

PP # 2 Commander Geri (JPN)       @ 5/2

Commander Geri is a four year old stakes winning daughter of Geri, out of a Deputy Commander mare.  Her last race was an eight furlong turf race in which she ran a 104 speed figure.  Her best race came at this distance in March where she posted a blazing 108.  She has proven to run just as well if not better on wet tracks, having two wins and a second from her three off track turf races.  She should be sitting toward the back of this field turning for home and make a bold move coming down the stretch.

 

PP # 3 Desert Theatre (IRE)           @ 5-1

Desert Theatre is a four year old graded placed daughter of Theatrical, out of a Green Desert mare.  After two five furlong sprint tries she goes back to her best distance.  Her last three races at a mile or more have all been triple digit speed figures.  This will be her first try on an off track, but with her breeding I don’t think it will be a factor.  She is the lone speed horse in this race, so watch for her to try and take this race from gate to wire.

Blue Panther is a four year old stakes placed daughter of Unbridled’s Song, out of a Storm Cat mare.  Her last race was an eight furlong turf race where she posted a 108 speed figure.  Her last three races at a mile or 1 1/16 have all been triple digits speeds, with one of those coming on an off track.  She seems to like to stalk the pace so look for Cooper to have her close to the lead.

 

PP # 5 Knowing Looks (KY)           @ 7/5

Knowing Looks is a four year old stakes winning daughter of Dynaformer, out of a Kingmambo mare.  Her last race was a 7.5 furlong turf race with a speed figure of 105.  In her last seven races, she posted speed figures of 103 and better.  She’s ran a 109 at 8.5 furlongs so this distance should suit her well.  She looks to be equally strong on off tracks with a win and a second from two wet races.  She has a versatile running style, and likes to rate, but if pace is too slow look for her to take over and control the race.
