PP # 1 Dynamin @ 5/2
Trained by Leesnyder, a member of Pastures of Green
Ridden by: M. Russell
Dynamin is a five year old graded winning daughter of Dynaformer, out of Royal Minister by Deputy Minister. In her last race she won a sprint by seven lengths and was eased in the stretch because she was winning so easily. Her last two races before that, at this distance, she ran a 105 and a 103 respectively. Besides the easy last win and a race where she was hung up in traffic she has ran triple digit speeds in her races in the past year. Look for her to be sitting mid pack or further back depending on traffic, and close coming around the final turn.
PP # 2 Forever Pure (IRE) @ 5/2
Trained by Fairhaven6, a member of Del Penn National
Ridden by: N. Schreiber
Forever Pure is a four year old stakes winning daughter of Sadler’s Wells, out of a Nijinsky II mare. She showed promise as a three year old and has really taken off as a four year old. She won a 10.5 furlong stakes race last out with a speed figure of 105, making three wins in a row. In her last seven races the slowest figure has been a 99. Look for her to be the speed in this race.
PP # 3 Neuschwanstein (IRE) @ 4-1
Trained by Waremblem8, a member of GR Simsters
Ridden by: E.C. Doyle
Neuschwanstein is a multiple graded winning daughter of Castledale, out of Mango Seattle by In The Wings who also has a five year old grade winner. In her last race, which was Smackdown, she was boxed in was never able to make her move. The race before that she won an 8.5 furlong grade 3 stakes with a speed figure of 108. Looking at speed figures alone she looks like this distance will be too far, but looking at running lines she seems to be closing at the end of her longer races. If she has a good trip look for her to be closing fast in this one.
PP # 4 Nobody Knows (IRE) @ 5-1
Trained by Desperado4, a top member in GR Simsters
Ridden by: D. Doyle
Nobody Knows is a four year old stakes placed daughter of King’s Best, out of stakes placed Pooped Out by Danehill who also has a five year old GW mare. Her last out was a seven furlong allowance score with a speed figure of 103. She’s showing signs of dramatic improvement and can run equally well on dirt. This will be her first try at this distance. Her typical style is to be out front, but Doyle may see if she can rate to get this distance.
PP # 5 Oh Susannah @ 20-1
Trained by Squirrel5, another top member of GR Simsters
Ridden by: M. Fontain
Oh Susannah is a five year old stakes winning daughter of Gone West, out of a Deputy Minister mare. This cleverly named mare ran third in the Smackdown of 2006, and has been solid since. She has shown talent running at 11 – 12 furlongs but seems to be fading towards the end. Squirrel5 has dialed her back in distance so watch for an improvement on her last race. She will probably be going for the lead and try to use her stamina to take this race gate to wire.
PP # 6 Fandepgroom @ 2-1
Trained by Tenpin8, a member of Great Plains Residency 2008
Ridden by: A. Jewell
Fandepgroom is a five year old graded winning daughter of Fantastic Light, out of graded placed Sultry Shin by Deputy Minister. Her last race was a 9.5 furlong stakes win where she was taken in hand down the stretch to win by 2 ½ lengths. Her last ten starts have averaged a 104 speed rating. She is a very talented mare that can run any style of race. Jewell will be seeing how the race unfolds to pick her position.
