Comeback by an experienced trainer Part 4
Comeback by an experienced trainer Part 4
Welcome to the week 3630 edition of my story about making a comeback after roughly 6 years out of the sim.
First let me tell you a funny story, I was looking around for mares to breed, a feature that hadn’t existed back in 2002, so I entered my stable name, and searched for all horses that I had owned with one of my stables, ….wow… there came all my sim history, my Grade 1 Winner West of the Sea, my Graded Winner Mode Appealing, they are now 13 and 12 years old, oh what memories, I could see what rubbish I bred 2002, only 2 out of my about 15 homebreds won Stakes, 1 horse even won Graded Races, ah well, nice to know at least something found it’s way into sim history. I made a nice list of mares I’ll be able to use in the future, but none is better than Grade C, actually only 1 is C, the most are E and F.
Well, back to the current days, in my boble stable I had 2 runners, and both ran nice races. Corcoesto a 3yo colt I claimed for 30K, I started in a MSW at 9.5f on the turf, I expect him to get better with age, and thought he’d be better of with longer distances, well, he went of jf, but finished 3rd in the end Result:

I’ll look to move him back to 8.5 f likely, and look for him to break his maiden in an MSW or high MCL.
The brighter side of the story was my 5yr old Eagle Harbour, he won a NW3s ALW at 6.5f, he ran a 101, so he is on the edge of useful ALW performances in sprints, but should keep running ITM, however this win will make it tough to find Conditions for him, he may find it tough in Open ALW, but well, let’s celebrate the first Comeback Victory for boble, my main stable. Not that much to celebrate in my newbie stable boble2, TOO Wild ran an average race in his try on turf, the track came up yielding, so tough to judge, if he would like firm turf, a 5th Place in the 13,500$ CLM brought a few BP, but a lot of doubts, I guess I’ll put him back on dirt next time out. Running on Tuesday, Private Report, kicked off the sim week for my stables, running 3rd in a 2500 CLm and not gettin claimed was a good result for this original horse, he should give me some more BP in low claimer sprints. Result:

Outlook for next week:
I’ll have 5 starters for boble2, with almost all my original horses goin at it, I expect a lot to see from CLM pickup Elisbeth, who gets a bid NW2L CLM at Maryland, i hope she can pick up the BP to reward the bid. At boble I’ll start Farax, who’s disappointing race I spoke about last week, he is a nice Turf Sprinter, and will run in a bid race featured for his conditions. Plus I’ll try to place my homebred, Bowilling, let’s see if she can make a field, or will have to wait one more week.
Notes from other Boble Stables:
The week produced 2 more winners, my 2yo Auction pick-up for harrybear Fledling won a MCL-30000, so she’ll be available for Starter ALWs or ALWs NW2L next time out, the time of 55 was not impressive, but the breeding suggests more distance anyway, what i learned here is, that if you don’t respect the Auction penalty, you’ll not receive BP, even if you win.

The other winner came for huberteng again, the newbie stable produced his 2nd winner from now 11 Races, Fargin icehole won a 15000$ CLM Result:

My 2 Homebred debuts were rather disappointing, Bofantastic and Boclock finished 5th, what gives hope is that they closed in the end, so they’ll likely be better, when the 7f and 8f races start, and perhaps will now get 6-8 week breaks until returning.
For next week I’ll look to get better at race spotting, and taking advantage of the races I bid for, I guess one of the nice things of writing for the BTB is getting credits, I will use those to give my horses nice spots by bidding for races that fit their conditions perfect.
Newbies with good writing skills should look at writing Race Previews, as they can give you a nice credit gain, plus give back to the sim, what it gives you, as much as writing(I know I’m not as good as I wanna be), I enjoy reading about major stakes races.
So good luck at the races, see you next week….
