The ROYANJI Memorial

Here’s the story

Of a race in Dubai

Almost once around

The sloppy dirt track

The stakes record of 100

I don’t think will be broken

These mares will have to attack

Here’s the story

Of 5 lovely mares

who’ve been racing for

less than a year

3 of them are brown horses

Like their sires

Winterello and Dancing Dreams the only chestnuts here

PP 1   MISERERE (KY)   (DEHERE x MISWAKI x THEATRICAL (IRE)) bred by newceo and trained by magoo2912 (Magoo2912 Stables, 14%)  Odds:  5 to 1

Here’s a story

Of a horse whose starting

In only her fourth career race

Trying stakes again

For the third time

Hoping for first place.

PP 2   DANCING DREAMS   (CRYPTOCLEARANCE x CARSON CITY x STORM CAT) bred and trained by gg (Topicount Stables, 15%)  Odds:  6 to 1

Here’s a story

Of a horse who’s won before

On a wet, sloppy, dirt track

From game dam Beginer’s Luck

She hasn’t won since

Almost 5 months back.

PP 3   WINTERELLO (IRE)   (LEPORELLO x CAME HOME x SEATTLE SLEW) bred and trained by kalsing2 (Nickesyd racing club, 9%)  Odds:  3 to 1

Here’s the story

Of a horse whose is looking

for her first victory at stakes

She has the speed

and likes this distance

I think she has what it takes.

PP 4   ATTITUDEADJUSTMENT (KY)   (STREET CRY (IRE) x NUREYEV x BOLD RULER) bred and trained by super8 (More Evil Than The Evil Empire!, 16%)  Odds:  2 to 1

Here’s a story

Of a horse in a rut

Finishing second in his last three races

He’s a strong horse

With lots of late speed

But tough competition here he faces.

PP 5   RUMBLER (KY) (THUNDER GULCH x AFFIRMED x VAGUELY NOBLE) bred and trained by cmcnationa (OC International Racing Stables, 10%)  Odds:  9 to 5

Here’s the story

Of a horse named Rumbler

Who’s almost always first

Across the finish line

She’s a fast horse (high speed 88)

And loves the sloppy track (3 wins)

I wish she were one of mine.

And then one day

The reporter decided to try handicapping

Though she almost never gets the winner right

She is picking Attitudeadjustment to win the whole thing

and Rumbler and Dancing Dreams

to put up quite a fight.

Til the one day

When these horses met each other

And we knew that there was a winner in the bunch

and the fastest to run the 7.5 furlongs

who it’ll be, is at best,  only a hunch

The Royanji  bunch, the Royanji  bunch,  that’s the way they became the Royanji  bunch.
