Upcoming G1, Mike Beal Memorial: Information/Tribute

I will first state I made an error and should have put this race at a Canadian track as our friend Mike Beal was from Canada.  I apologize for this error.  But there will be a Mike Beal Memorial race that will be held on November 27, 2021 in Deauville and it will be at 8 furlongs for 3 year olds on the turf.  This race is a G1 race which the Hoosier Racing residency of which I manage is sponsoring. This is just a notification to inform all sim players.

Most people would remember Mike Beal as the owner of Oldmoonfarms.  He was a very good friend to me and many others in the sim.  When he first started playing back in October 2014 he received much help from other players as he got introduced into the game.  I know that Spinround assisted him as he got started as did many others.  Mike Beal made many friends in the sim and at some point became friends with Bizalls and joined the Only Stayers residency.  When I first started playing I had no clue what I was doing back in May 2016.  He recruited my Naskippy account to join the Only Stayers residency.  He mentored me and we became good friends.  Sometimes he was hard on me, but he taught me much about the horses and how to do things in the sim.  He also gifted me many good horses along the way when I first got started.  Mike Beal was known by many in the sim and was very kind and generous to many.

On November 29. 2019 we lost our friend and player, Mike Beal.  This was a very tragic and emotional loss to me personally.  I never met Mike Beal, but we spoke many times per week via Private Message.  Many months prior to his passing he alluded to me that he was going to pass, but never told me what was wrong.  He was very private about whatever illness he was dealing with.  At one point he sent me his login and password information to his Oldmoonfarms account and told me to keep this information in a safe place and that one day soon his stables would be gifted to me upon his passing.  There came a point of which Bizalls and I found he was not updating entries and taking care of his account.  It was not until about one month after his passing that we found out he had passed away. 

After the confirmation of his passing I did as Mike Beal (Oldmoonfarms) instructed me and I pulled out the login and password information from my safe.  I got into the account that I had inherited and it was overwhelming, especially since I already had two accounts of my own.  I recruited Bizalls and Anothercrick to help out with the upkeep of Oldmoonfarms.  So the three of us currently continue to run and maintain the Oldmoonfarms account with our divided duties.  So Oldmoonfarms is now run in collaboration of three of Mike Beal’s closest friends in the sim.

This race is open to all that wish to enter and it is open to a 20 horse field.
