Lovely fine day in Hong Kong for the running of today’s Silver Spoon for the 2yo fillies. Full field of babies line up for this one all looking for some black type. Let’s take a look at the field.

1. 101 – No Captains (Snitzel) Owned by bluffsrun. – Jockey – C. Roser – 7/1.

2yo filly with only the 3 starts, winning two. Overall record 3-2-0-0 and banking $65k. Ran her worse race in a G1 so the jury is out. Last start she won an 8F Allowance race. She led all the way, opening up by nearly 3 lengths on the turn. She stayed on well and won by 3 lengths, running an SP of 83. Prior to that she was 14^th in the G1 2020 Equinics – Tim Berners-Lee 6F. Sat 3^rd close to the speed. Started feeling the pinch on the turn and wilted badly the last furlong, beaten over 7 lengths and ran an SP of 69. Before that she won her maiden over 6F. She led all the way and stayed on strongly to win by nearly 2 lengths and running an SP of 76. Stepped up to the mile and ran her best race to date. Will probably lead, but can she hang on in this tougher race. Chance.

2. 52612 – Phonhrome (Order of St George) Owned by wyndaway6. – Jockey – H. Artack – 15/1.

2yo filly with an overall record of 5-1-2-0 and banking $81k. She has enjoyed a route and her last two suggest she has a chance. Last start she was 2^nd in the G3 Dormello 8F. She sat 3^rd very close to the lead. Moved up on the turn but just faded late to be beaten nearly 2 lengths and running an SP of 85. Prior to that she won her maiden over 8F. Sat 3^rd around 4.5 lengths from the lead. Made a move on the turn and raced on to win well, by 2 lengths and running an SP of 80. Filly who has hit her straps when stepped up in trip as her breeding suggests. Her last run was very good and think she has a very good chance here.

3. 2119 – Good Sleep (Always Dreaming) Owned by jarrod4. – Jockey – W. CahilB. Ball – 19/1.

2yo filly with overall record of 4-2-1-0 and banking $101k. First time over the route and will need to lift a notch to compete here. Last start she was 9^th in the G1 More Glare Stakes 7F. Led early in the race but faded from the turn. She wilted badly late to be beaten 9.5 lengths and ran an SP of 75. Prior to that she won the Nonstop Flight Turf Juvenile Fillies 6.5F. She led all the way, opening up by a length on the turn and extended that margin to the line to win by 1.5 lengths and ran an SP of 81. Before that she won her maiden over 7F. She led all the way, opening up a 3.5 length lead on the turn. She stayed on strongly to win by just over a length and ran an SP of 76. She will probably try to lead and there is some pace in the race so won’t get her own way. Last furlong may be the worry, but she has a chance.

4. 11113 – Rescue at Sea (US Navy Flag) Owned by vaguy2. – Jockey – A. Hudson – 10/1.

2yo filly with a nice overall record of 5-4-0-1 and banking $106k. The route will be no problem and she will be running on strongly. Last start she was 3rd in the G3 Animale 8F. She sat 10^th around 7 lengths from the lead. She made up very good ground late to be beaten just under 4 lengths and ran an SP of 87. Prior to that she won a 7.5F Allowance. Sat 5^th around 3 lengths from the lead. Moved up on the turn and ran on strongly to win by ¼ of a length and ran an SP of 84. Before that she won a 7F Allowance. Sat 4^th around 5 lengths from the lead. Started to move into it on the turn and ran home strongly the last furlong to just get up by a head, running an SP of 75. She won a 6.5F Allowance prior to that. Sat 4^th in the run around 3.5 lengths from the lead. Ran home very strongly to win by over 2 lengths with an SP of 71. Filly who has been taken through her grades nicely. With the speed on here she will be strong late and has to be given a big chance.

2yo filly with a terrif overall record of 6-2-2-2 and banking $107k. Never missed the board and hoping to continue that here. Last start she was 3^rd in the G3 Dormello 8F behind Phonhrome (2^nd). She sat 5^th only a length off the lead. Moved past a few late but was well held, beaten 3 lengths and running an SP of 83. Prior to that she won an 8F Allowance. Sat 4^th around 4 lengths from the lead. Ran on strongly in the stretch to win by ½ length and ran an SP of 81. Before that she won her maiden over 7.5F on a shifting track. Sat 3^rd, close to the lead. She took over on the turn and raced on to win by 1.5 lengths and ran an SP of 76. She can handle the route which ticks off that box. Needs to improve but not out of the question. Chance.

6. 1152 – Tarton Mania (Kantharos) Owned by hoosier20 – Jockey – H. Harzheim – 10/1.

2yo filly with an overall record of 4-2-1-0 and banking $138k. Her last start over a route was promising and looks a player in this. Last start she was 2^nd in the G3 Animale 8F beating home Rescue at Sea (3^rd). She sat 5^th around 5 lengths from the lead. She ran on quite well but well held by the winner, beaten just over 2 lengths and ran an SP of 89. Prior to that she was 5^th in the G2 Young Lady 7F. Sat 11^th around 5.5 lengths from the lead. Sat 7^th around 3.5 lengths from the lead. She moved up on the turn and ran away to win by 1 length with an SP of 79. She won her maiden the start before over 6F. Sat back in 8^th in the run and moved strongly from the turn to win by 1 length with an SP of 72. She improved trying the route last time and think she can improve again and be in with a solid chance here.

7. 11386 – Magna Scales (Magna Grecia) Owned by raiderred. – Jockey – L. Rigdon – 12/1.

2yo filly with plenty of experience. Overall record 8-4-1-1 and banking $255k. Her last two runs have been off, but she tries a route for the 1^st time and can improve. Last start she was 6^th in the G3 Cornwall Stakes 5F. Sat 10^th around 2.5 lengths from the lead. Wilted from the turn and was beaten over 2 lengths and ran an SP of 79. Prior to that she was 8^th in the G1 More Glare Stakes 7F. Sat 8^th around 5.5 lengths from the lead. She struggled to make an impression and was beaten 6.5 lengths with an SP of 80. Before that she was 3^rd in the G2 Young Lady 7F beating home Tarton Mania (5^th). Sat 8^th around 3-4 lengths from the lead. Ran home very well to be beaten just under 2 lengths and ran an SP of 81. Prior to that she won the G3 Capital Stakes 6F. Sat 6^th only 2 lengths from the lead. Ran home well to win by ½ length and ran an SP of 79. Step up in trip will help and has a chance in open race.

8. 12162 – Survivingthespirit (Invincible Spirit) Owned by lopoelite – Jockey – Z. Edwards – 7/1.

Nice 2yo filly with overall record of 5-2-2-0 and banking $125k. Form has been good and her last start over her route was terrific pointer to this. Last start she ran 2^nd in the G3 Natalie 8F. Sat 7^th around 6-7 lengths from the lead. She ran on very strongly from the turn to be beaten only ¼ of a length and ran an SP of 90. Prior to that she was 6^th in the G2 Lowdown 6F. Sat last around 5-6 lengths from the lead. She did make up ground but was well held, beaten just under 4 lengths and ran an SP of 76. Before that she won the Headshot Stakes 6F. Sat 6^th around 3 lengths from the lead. Moved up on the turn and finished too well to win by ¾ of a length and ran an SP of 82. She was 2^nd in the Angel Wings Turf Juvenile Fillies 6F before that. Sat 11^th around 5 lengths from the lead. Finished well but couldn’t reel in the winner, beaten just over a length and ran an SP of 72. Her last run suggests the route is the go for her. Will be finishing very strongly and has to be a huge chance.

2yo filly with a nice overall record 6-3-1-1 and banking $116k. Steps up in trip for the first time and has to be a chance in tough race. Last start she was 2^nd in the G3 Park Place Stakes 7F. Sat 7^th around 9 lengths from the lead. She ran home very well the last furlong, though well held, beaten just over 2 lengths and ran an SP of 83. Prior to that she was 11^th in the G1 Equinics – Tim Berners-Lee 6F. She sat 14^th around 7-8 lengths from the lead. She made up some ground but was well beaten by 5.5 lengths and ran an SP of 73. Before that she won the Donna Hollandia Turf Juvenile Fillies 6.5F. She was 9^th around 6 lengths from the lead early. She was still 7^th on the turn but finished strongly to win by ¾ of a length and ran an SP of 81. Prior to that she was 3^rd in the Sandessa Turf Juvenile Fillies 5F on soft ground. Sat 11^th around 4.5 lengths from the lead. Ran on very well to be beaten less than a length and ran an SP of 65. Think the trip suits and she should be very competitive here.

10. 11525 – Going Backstage (Star Turn) Owned by grassman.  – Jockey – P. Smith – 10/1.

2yo filly that has more experience than most with overall record of 6-2-1-0 and banking $170k. Missed over a route last time but was a very good run in a G1. She was 5^th in the G1 Filly Grand Prix 8F. Sat 12^th early, around 7 lengths from the lead. She ran home well, beaten just over a length and ran an SP of 89. Prior to that she was 2^nd in the G2 Young Lady 7F beating home Magna Scales (3^rd) and Tarton Mania (5^th). She sat 12^th around 7 lengths from the lead early. Still 10^th on the turn but ran home very strongly to be beaten 1 length and running an SP of 82. Before that she was 5^th in the G2 Cherry Hilton 6F. Sat 13^th around 7 lengths off the lead early. Ran home well to be beaten just over a length and ran an SP of 77. Prior to that she won a 6.5F Allowance. Sat 5^th in the run and ran home strongly to win by just over a length with an SP of 77. This distance and further look her go. She ran home well in a G1 last start and the same can be expected here. Big chance.

11. 111 – Hearts of Mind (Heart’s Cry) Owned by mrxrayz34 – Jockey – T. Brewer – 6/1.

Unbeaten 2yo filly who has banked $82k so far. Been very good in all wins and has won both route runs which makes her very hard to beat. Steps up in grade but looks the goods. Last start she won an 8.5F Allowance race. She sat 4^th early, around 3 lengths from the lead. Moved up on the turn and raced away the last furlong to win easily by nearly 3 lengths with an SP of 86. Prior to that she won an 8F Allowance. Led all the way, opening up by 3.5 lengths on the turn. Stayed on strongly to win by over 2 lengths and ran an SP of 81. She won her maiden over 7F. Sat 2^nd close to the speed. Took over on the turn and raced on to win by 1.5 lengths with an SP of 81. Impressive in all three starts to date and she will measure up here. Looks a great chance.

2yo filly with the most experience here with record of 8-3-2-1 and banking $117k. Has a win over the route but that was on a wet track. Interesting runner. Last start she won an 8F Allowance on a soft track. She sat 7^th around 9 lengths from the lead. She was still 6 lengths off them on the turn before finishing powerfully to win by over a length with an SP of 87. Prior to that she was 11^th in the Diorite Turf Juvenile Fillies 6F. Sat 7^th around 2 lengths back early. Dropped back on the turn and was beaten over 4 lengths with an SP of 76. Before that she was 2^nd in a 6F Allowance. Sat 4^th early only 1 length from the lead. Took over on the turn but was run down late, beaten ¼ of a length and ran an SP of 79. Prior to that was 2^nd in a 7F Allowance. Sat 3^rd early, close to the speed. Ran on but held late, beaten 1.5 lengths and ran an SP of 75. Her win over the route LTO was very good (Wet Track?). Has shown she is capable on dry and if she can reproduce that run, she has to be a chance.

2yo filly who found the G1 a bridge to far last start. Record is 4-3-0-0 and banking $74k. Trying a route for the first time so sharp improvement can happen. Last start she was 10^th in the G1 Chevel 6F. Sat 3^rd only 1.5 lengths from the lead early. Dropped back on the turn and wilted late to be beaten nearly 3 lengths and ran an SP of 81. Prior to that she won the Cocoa Turf Juvenile Fillies 6F. She led most of the way and kicked clear the last furlong to win by 1.5 lengths and ran an SP of 80. Before that she won a 6F Allowance. Led all the way and again kicked on strongly the last furlong to win by over a length with an SP of 72. She won her maiden also over 6F. Sat close to the speed before taking over and kicking clear the last furlong to win by over a length with an SP of 69. She will need to improve but may lead and give them something to catch. Chance.

14. 21111– Such Dreams (Dream Ahead) Owned by zkingab12. – Jockey – G. Arnold – 5/1.

2yo filly with terrific record and deserving favourite today. Only question is she hasn’t been over the route but should suit. Record 5-4-1-0 and banking 284K. Last start she won the G3 Palm Outward Stakes 7F. Sat 7^th around 4 lengths from the lead, early. Moved up on the turn and raced on to win by over a length with an SP of 90. Prior to that she won the Mythical Cat Turf Juvenile Fillies 7F. Sat 2^nd only 2 lengths from the lead early. Took over on the turn and raced away to win by 2 lengths with an SP of 84. Before that she won the Breakfast in Bed Turf Juvenile Fillies 6.5F. She sat 5^th early, only 2 lengths from the lead. Moved up on the turn and raced on to win by 1 length with an SP of 82. Prior to that she won the Race Series for ASR 6.5F on a soft track. Sat 2^nd near the lead early. Took over on the turn and won well by 1 length with an SP of 76. Impressive filly who has won her last 4 at stakes and Graded level. Will suit close and look the winner at some stage. Big chance.

Picks. This is a very tough race to tip. So many chances in a very even field of 2yo fillies.
