Aggulotto, Vansheen to front stewards
An enquiry has today been launched into the training arrangement between Wolfgang Vansheen, Gianluigi Aggulotto and Luca Gilberto.
Rumours have been leaked to the Sim Racing Stewards that Vansheen and Aggulotto are using the ‘Gilberto’ banner as a sharade in order to get 6 extra of their horses into the upcoming Christmas Slipper.
Reportedly the two trainers are in partnership for Sim Racing CEO Luca Gilberto as owner who will have 3 fillies and 3 colts to be entered under his name.
However growing speculation from rival trainers Deyoto Lefranse and Captain Nog as resulted into a stewards enquiry into the deal between the 3 as to the nature of the exact involvement.
Speculation has occurred because;
*Gilberto appears to have no active involvement in the training of ‘his’ horses
*Gianluigi Aggulotto paid the whole sum of Gilberto’s entry of 480 credits
*Gianluigi Aggulotto and Wolfgang Vansheen have both admitted to being the trainers of Gilberto’s horses.
Following an initial hearing of the Lefranse/Nog joint complaint to racing officials, the following was announced by head steward Bull Dust;
The stewards wish to have a statement from Aggulotto, Vansheen and Gilberto by this Sunday at the absolute latest as to their arrangement. We need to be satisified that Luca Gilberto does in fact own these horses and has a vested interest in his stables. If this is merely a method for Aggulotto and Vansheen to get extra runners into the Pereludes than their allotted 6 then they have another thing coming.
The interpretation by the stewards of these 3 documents will decide whether or not the ‘Gilberto’ horses are elligible to run and a decision handed down by the panel by 11pm Monday night.
Of course the abscence of just 1 of these 3 documents will automatically result in disqualification of the Gilberto horses.’

The inquiry has come as welcome news for Deyoto Lefranse, the head trainer of Champion Lodge;
‘I think its great the stewards are taking the matter seriously. I for one am not keen for Aggulotto and Vansheen to have 9 runners each to mine and Nog’s 6. However if these extra horses are found to be Gilberto’s by the stewards then I’ll be happy with that. However with the prestige this event holds and the reputation of Aggulotto and Vansheen being dodgy at best nothing would surprise me.’
