Wildcard WIZARDS FIRST RULE Wins Wings!
The WINGS OF A DOVE Cap Stakes
A mile and one sixteenth on the Fast Dirt Track
$75,000
All Horses, 2 years old
Stakes record – 2006 – SPITFIRE MK I, 1:44, SPF 89.719
I mentioned in my preview that WIZARDS FIRST RULE looked like a winner but there just wasn’t enough experience to pick him first. Well he now has a three race win streak after winning the WINGS OF A DOVE CAP Stakes this weekend by catching the favorite DROGBA in the stretch and finishing half a length ahead.
The big chestnut colt by DYNAFORMER has to put a big smile on the face of trainer AAA Farms and the KingAb Stables as he really looks like something special after his first three races. All three were wins and he is showing marked improvement each time out. He is the first offspring of broodmare RACE WITH THE MOON who had a nice solid career mostly over turf routes. This race upped his earnings to over $26k in his three race career.
All four horses were within a couple of lengths of each other throughout the race until the final stretch with the aforementioned DROGBA on the lead. AD HOMINEM was second most of the way until being passed by the winner in the stretch drive.
Trainer AAAFarms will now have to give his new prized pony a rest and plan his course to future greatness.
Good luck to all runners!
