Some serious sprinting ability will attack the dirt course here in Kansas this week, and with 20 starters in the gate anything can happen! Here they are in post position order.

– Again Withthe Gold – Barndog. This mare has some serious ability. She can rate off the leaders, or take the lead if needed. Distance might not be her best.
– Dixie Glow – Kaif. Deep closer will have lots of runner to pass. Been a while since she got to the front in time.
– Seeking To Rule – Jim_Rockriver. Another closer. Prepped for this with a big speed in a mile allowance win. Top jockey aboard.
– Mt. Lard – Kaif. Midpacker has been running well. Will need his best here to be a factor. Affectionately named after Lordpye???
– Paradise Road – Ricdav. Hasn’t had much luck in making up any ground on Stakes level sprinters. How about a turf try????
– Ladys Connection – Ladysierra. Experienced mare will be near the pace. Sexiest trainer in the Sim knows how to win the big one.
– Model A – Barndog. Random bred has been on his game lately, but isn’t good enough for this group.
– Detroit B Ball – Fabman. Deep closer has been performing well in the extremely short stuff. Will get lost back in the pack here.
– Black Rogue – Winterheart. Has been competitive at Stakes level. 3yo will need to improve for this one. Might be time for a grass outing???
– Starpoint Thunder – Nextbonus. Performing really well in long sprints, will have more company and more to pass this week.
– Mysterious Way – Rivdav. Lightly raced and getting better. Will have to improve off that lifetime best he posted last out.
– Flagrant – OkDavid. Huge jump in performance last out. Might run back to that if he gets loose on the lead.
– Flying Foxes – Nextbonus. Midpack runner about good enough to finish midpack here.
– Stonehaven – Winterheart. If the old vet is on his game he could be a factor at the finish.
– Spartans On Top – Rbokie. Will be near the front at the start, but not at the finish.
– Forty Yard Bomb – Fabman. Showed his best stuff last out, but will need to be better. Another who’ll need the lead.
– Salty Tiger – Chilimac. He was at his best in his last two starts, but that might still fall a little short here.
– China Rocket – Dundey? Veteran nearing the end, not enough juice left for this bunch.
– King Of The Freaks – Has been improving and led all the way last out. That’ll be a difficult task to repeat.
– Twelfth Knight – Barndog – Has shown a couple glimpses of stardom recently. It’ll take every bit of that to win from this post.

The talent in this race comes in all types, leaders, mid pack runners, and closers. In a 20 horse field that’s this wide open we may be in for a great show!
