SUMITAS (GER) x DANEHILL x RIBOT
German bred colt who has some stout breeding on the dam side he has won 6 from 13 for his trainer LAWDRO RACING STABLES. Had brilliant win 2 starts ago in the St-Sabalou Celebration over 8f with an 110sp. failed on short turn around last time out in graded company against older horses back to his own age he may turn that form around. Look for him to take this out at longer odds .The inside draw should help a lot look for him to speed to lead and he just might hold them all at bay.

GONE WEST x DANZIG x MILL REEF
This colt proves breeding does help when it comes to looking for a graded winner. You would not find more solid breeding than this he is bred to run a nice mile and has won 5 of his 9 starts so far. Nice win two starts ago in the St-Smackdown III RESTRICTED over this journey with an 110sp. His trainer Jockeymax Stables has been very patient with him and it is starting to pay dividends. He was not disgraced in graded company last time out when a close 6th over a mile. He will probably drop into a trailing position and look to come home over the last furlong.

DIXIELAND BAND x WILD AGAIN x FUSAICHI PEGASUS
From the G1 placed mare IMAWILDONE this colt is rightfully so the favourite for this race. He has raced in graded company in many of his 17 starts. He has always looked at home in these graded races and has fashioned a fine record with 13 of his 15 starts on turf producing wins or placing’s. This colt thrives on mile racing his 12 starts have produced 5wins and 5 placing’s. His trainer PEDRO’S RACING EMPIRE must be pretty pleased with his returns to date. This horses pedigree goes back 3 generations which I would say is pretty rear in the sim I may be wrong. His win 3 starts ago over a mile in the G2-Tette Mile Classic with a 106sp suggests he is improving with each run he will take all the beating in the world in this. Another who will race handy to the pace and kick hard in stretch.

LYPHARD’S WISH(FR) x THE PRUNER x HARRY HOTSPUR (SAF)
Comes into this race at leviathan odds I’m sure his trainer SHERMAN’S UPPER NEW YORK STABLES are pleased to have a runner in a graded race but it is hard to see him figuring in the finish. Both his wins have been at 6.5f and it is maybe at this distance his trainer may look next time out.

SEEKING THE GOLD x DIXIELAND BAND x A.P. INDY
Novanora Stables brings us the second favourite for this. He is from the grade winning he-mare LYRIC POET who won 11 races and $519,339 in stakes. He is another who has raced lately in graded racing and has handled it well. He was 4th last time out in the G3-The Redalert matchmaker miler a race in which a lot of these runners started. So when looking for a winner it may pay to take that race into consideration. On pace runner who will ensure the pace is hot all the way and a good time looks on the cards.
PP6 8459 JACOBITE THEA(IRE) carolover M Ridenour 19/1
BARATHEA(IRE) x STORM CAT x RAHY
A lightly raced colt who should handle a lot further distance as he gets older. He has won 3 from 8 including the St-The DIAMOND MUSIC Stakes 3 starts ago he is yet to register a 100+sp and performed poorly in his only graded race last time out against older opposition a return to 3yrold racing may work here for his trainer Blacksoxuk Firebird Stables . His dam GRANNY’S GIRL was a stakes winner and his grand dam GRANNY EXALTED won 3 G1 races a rear feat for any horse in the sim let alone a mare.So this colt has a lot to live up to it’s early days for him and although it may not be this race some big wins are in store for him.
PP7 122905 MULL OF GLANOICH(KY) stallcorio M Slater 11/1
MULL OF KINTYRE x SRI PEKAN x ALZAO
Moderately bred runner who has a handy record so far. He has raced 20 times for 6 wins and 8 placing’s. He has performed well in graded racing and also in open allowances which sometimes are harder to win than stakes or graded races. He seems to be picking up late in the year with his last race producing his best ever sp of 106. He is trained by Dupre Stables who is no stranger to top class racing so his must be a good outside chance of getting the cash.
PP8 132648 RAGSPOINT DEPUTY(KY) jrogue5 M Long 13/1
DYNAFORMER x DEPUTY MINISTER x STORM BIRD
This colt has only missed once in 7 starts and his 3rd last time out against most of these in the G3-The Redalert matchmaker miler points to him being right in the finish again. From DEPUTY SILVER who has also produced the stakes winner RAZIEL from her only other foal. Jrogue Stables produces him here in top condition yet another on pace runner. It will be interesting to see how some of these jockeys approach the early furlongs here.
PP9 95985 I ZIMBRA(KY) gradeone N Gellic 10/1
EMPIRE MAKER x DANEHILL x SECRETARIAT
More Evil Than The Evil Empire! bring their impressive EMPIRE MAKER colt to NSW for this. He is another of the well bred colts on display here today he has had 11 starts for 4 wins and 4 placing’s and well over $100,000 in stakes. Last to runs have shown a huge jump in sp’s and this suggests he is reaching peak performance. Another on pace runner who has won in fast time over a mile. This will truly be one of the races to watch this week.
PP10 117566 EVIL FANTASIES(ENG) zwango1 M Hobbs 13/1
GREEN DESERT x GONE WEST x HALO
DelPenn National resident Black Label Stables produces this colt to race here. Recent racing has been over longer distances than this with some pretty good success. His trainer drops him back to 8f here he has not raced over 8f since winning an allowance race in a moderate time in February. It will be interesting to see how he handles the shorter journey as a stayer of some note all the early speed in this may suit him look for him to be finishing strongly in stretch when some of the tearaway leaders start to feel the pinch.
PP11 124436 THE FAST LAYNE(KY) seacadet P Bangs 5/1
RAHY x SADLER’S WELLS x GONE WEST
Another of the bluebloods maybe the best bred horse in race. This horse is aptly named for this race which will be a speed dual at least early on. His last 5 races have been in graded races all with 100+sp’s including a fine win in the G1-The St. James Tavern over a mile in 109sp. He has won 5 from 13 and $881,140 in earnings. Seacadet Stables must fancy their chances of getting in the money here even in such an even contest. This fellow is a true closer who will get out of his ground early and dive-bomb the leaders in the stretch. He has the services of the top jockey P Bangs who will need to time his run perfectly to win it all here.
PP12 125365 AWESOME SONG(KY) goldcity T Rathman 6/1
UNBRIDLED’S SONG x AWESOME AGAIN x STORM CAT
Last but certainly not least comes this colt from Stevemunoz Stables. He has been very impressive in 9 starts for 4 wins and 3 placing’s and nearly $500,000 in stakes. He was a nice 2nd in the G1-The St. James Tavern to THE FAST LAYNE(KY) 4 starts back so will go close to being with him at the finish again which would mean he was right in the firing line. He will settle mid-field and may get an economical run and be one of the few with something left in the tank in the stretch.
All in all this should be a race well worth watching with speed to burn and some of the best 3yrold turf milers about all in one race look for a fat time and some big sp’s being produced her don’t miss this race.
My picks for what they are worth are.
1ST UNINTENTIONALLY(KY)
2ND THE FAST LAYNE(KY)
3RD SEND ME A SIGNAL(GER)
