dunn fun – Jockeys on Horses Getting Milk Episode 15

This piece of fictional fun is a chance for us to be introduced to one of the SIMS jockeys based on a popular TV show that features Comedians and Coffee.

WELCOME TO THE ANOTHER EPISODE OF “JOCKEYS ON HORSES GETTING MILK”.

On today’s show we are over at my stable close to Hamilton Ontario and will be riding on two of my horses.

My guest today is 37 year old Mick Brown, a sixteen year veteran Jockey from California  that races out of Texas. Mick is married and has one son and one daughter. Mick has had a nice career and has finished in the money in forty-two percent of his races.

I’m DUNN and this is “JOCKEYS ON HORSES GETTING MILK”!

Dunn (on phone): Hey Mick it’s Dunn, I’m down at my stable and have two great horses for us to ride. Want to go for Milk?

Mick (on phone): I would love to Dunn, I have been looking forward to your call.

DUNN AND MICK MEET AT BARN.

Dunn: What do you think of our horses today? Today we are riding my newest two year olds, Hoatu Te Whetu and Mathagusard.

Mick:  They are great Dunn. I know you have been breeding with Contributer a lot but I have to say I really like the look of the young Zoffany filly. I would love to team up with her in a future race to see what she’s got.

Dunn: That would be great Mick. Come on let’s get going.

DUNN AND MICK HEAD SADDLE UP.

Dunn: So I have to ask about your name, Are you named after a Rolling Stone or a Mouse?

Mick: Growing up so close to Disneyland, my Mom spent a lot of time there with my older siblings and my sister was a big fan of Mickey Mouse. When I was born she decided to call me Mick and thankfully no one really associated it with the mouse. I have always liked my name and have never been called anything else

Dunn: It is definitely a strong name and one that I came almost hear as the name of an athlete in a different sport. Were you athletic growing up?

Mick:  Yes I played all sports and was good at pretty much everything. I loved football, basketball, and baseball the most and at an early age I thought I would be a professional in one of them. Then Junior High came and went and I really didn’t grow much so I had to find something else. I love the speed and physical aspect of horse racing and it has been a great fit for me and I have managed to make a career of it.

Dunn: As a baseball fan from Canada I am really drawn to a race that you won back in March. Can you guess what that is?

Mick: Well as a baseball fan from Canada you either cheer for the Blue Jays and back in the day would be a fan of the expos. I don’t recall racing in anything Blue Jay related so I guess you must be talking about the Felipe Alou Stakes. Felipe Alou was the Manager of Les Expos for ten years and was alos a great player in his day and part of an amazing baseball family.

Dunn: Great guess Mick!! Tell me a little about that race.

Mick: It was a great race Dunn. I was riding Shady Ride out of the knightstc farm. He is a really nice Candy Ride colt and he ran big 105 speed that day and went wire to wire and won by more than three lengths. We have teamed up a few times since then and he had a runner up last time out.

Dunn: I will have to keep an eye out for him Mick and definitely hope we can team up together soon.

Mick:  Definitely! I would really like that.

Dunn:. It has been great getting to know you today Mick, thanks for being my guest. Are you ready for some Milk?
