Megalopolis Racing Circuit Update – Stakes Results and Upcoming Races

The Megalopolis Racing Circuit ended its local-bred three-year-old stakes series this weekend with the Downy Ocean, a dirt sprint, and the Joisey Doiby, a turf route.  Both were contested on the grounds of the New Jersey sim establishment, for those in the area for fun and sun.  The Downy Ocean went to PAINTBALL WELT for fourtees.  That Petionville product has moved forward off his gelding, as he was unsuccessful in previous Megalopolis tilts.  He passed runner-up SWISS ARMY late to take this one, and JUST GOING TO WIN blitzed from well back to be a surprise show horse.  The Doiby victor was Colombo’s GENERAL TOM THUMB, who has now won five straight and is the best product so far of his Grade 2-winning mom.  Midatlantic stable took the rest of the trifecta, with MILLION FIFTY MAN, the Freakness winner, in place and GOT THE SUPER, a winner of six straight previously, in show.

Megalopolis supporters are reminded that this upcoming weekend is the Kill Van Kull Invitational.  If you are a supported and didn’t get an earlier PM with the password, let me know.  If you are a “hidden” stable, I may have missed you.  And if you are not a supporter and have enjoyed the local-bred stakes open to the sim, why not provide a stable or two of support?  Like, maybe, graywolf6?  Just sayin’….

I will soon card allowances for September 24th and the fall/winter schedule, including the Crabcake Zillions/Mountain State Classics V on October 20th.
