Grade 11 at Ireland for two year old fillies.
Fourteen fillies go for gold in Ireland’s Grade 11 More Glare Stakes over seven furlongs on good turf this Saturday.
Even though the top ranked fillies aren’t entered we still have a field of quality with the eleventh ranked being the reigning favourite at 5/1. The tote ranks it as very even, and that is before perusing the form which shows that it is very balanced and most of the fillies are in with a great chance of getting the win. There is an abundance of on pacers therefore the pace will be on for the full journey and it may turn into a battle of the fittest down the stretch with no quarter asked or given.
Kiss Or Kill is a very smart filly by (Milwaukee Brew) from the biznes stable showing 10/1 on the board. Three from three is the score for this filly and she loves to be on the pace and at her last run was the winner of a Stakes over seven furlongs. Though her times are a little below some of these she has answered every thing asked of her, she is very talented and will be right in this race.
With a record of two from three is GALES OF NOVEMBER with (Gone West) as her sire and from the gipper4 stable and is at 7/1. Her only flop was at her seconded run in a Stakes but she redeemed herself at her next run picking up a Stakes over six furlongs. She is another on pacer who is right on the improve and the seven should be right up her alley and with an ounce of luck will be in the finish.
RAINBOW PAINTER(IRE) is a filly by (Peintre Celebre) from the stable of eddie72 and is at 13/1. She has three wins from five starts and won her third in a row with a stylish win at Stakes level at her most recent outing with a good time. She is improving and is in form and is a definite chance in this.
Palmisland has the eleventh ranked filly JACA (Mt Livermore) filly at odds of 5/1. Already the winner of two Stakes and at her last run was running on well to get seconded in a Grade3. She has improved in leaps and bounds at her last two and looks the goods, and a fast pace should suit her down to the ground. Watch for this classy filly flying home down the stretch.
PRABHA the Australian bred filly by (Testa Rossa) from the stables of united ranked fifth in the rankings is at 8/1 on the card. With three from five and a last start winner of a Grade3 over 6.5 furlongs she is capable of claiming the win here. Though two starts back collected a third in a Grde2 over 5.5 furlongs she has improved markedly since that run and should go close to winning this one.
VINNING(IRE) (Peintre Celebre) from bok’s stable is at 13/1. At her first start was boldly placed in a Stakes on dirt and didn’t fire at all. She was than sent out in a Maiden on the grass and ended up with a stylish win to her credit. This filly though beautifully bred and full of talent is making a huge jump in class, and she may need a little more time before challenging a few of these.
THE BEST THERE IS(IRE) (Best Of The Best) from the stable of poocher is at 11/1. Two from two for this promising filly with a Maiden and Allowance wins to her credit. Making a big leap in class here and her times haven’t been sensational so she will find it hard here, even though winning form is good form. Maybe one to put in the black book for further down the track.
BLACKEYED PEACE by (Peace Rules from slipnot22’s stable with odds of 11/1. She was stepped up to a Stakes at her last start and on yielding turf had a great win even if the time was a little slow. She is three from four and look for her to be leading these speedsters for a major part of the race. The concern is whether she can hold out the finishers and there will be plenty of them coming at her down the stretch.
SAHARA TRICK(IRE) by (Desert King) from the stables of tonys and is at 9/1. This dynamic looking filly had her seconded win in four starts at Stakes level at latest run. She not only won she showed a big improvement time wise and even though this race is another level up there is nothing to say she can’t win.
BACKTOTHEOZARKS by (Came Home) from simonlee’s stable and is at 16/1. The winner of her two runs on turf and the last start winner of a Stakes but the time was not fast. This may be a little too strong for her at this stage od her career but she is undeafted on the grass and will give a good account of herself.
DEFEND(IRE) by (Refuse To Bend) from the stable of wistful3 and is 12/1 on the board. Two good wins at her first two runs was followed by a third in a Stakes at her most recent start and in only fair time. She is another rising up in class and this one may be a little solid for her at this stage.
PEDRO ON BOOST by (Pulpit) from roar’s99 stable and is at 7/1. This classy filly is still to win but look at her record she has one placing and two shows and all at the top level. With a big leap in time she finished strongly to get third over 7 at her latest effort and with the pace this race will be run at she gets a great chance to win her first at good odds.
CHARMEER by (Silver Charm) from the stable of graywolf3 and is at 16/1.This nicely bred filly won her maiden three starts back and has a third in an Allowance and a seconded at her last start in a Stakes. This is a tough ask of her but she has shown improvement at each start and comes into this with a rough chance.
CARBOW QUEST by (Ransom O’War ) from the stable of viperthree has the outside barrier and is at 15/1. Two from three with wins in a Maiden and a Allowance were followed by a fair effort in a Grade3 over this distance. She once again is aiming high here in this one and one feels that a few of these will be too slippery for her at this level.
There you have it a top field of fillies and there is no way I am going try and pick a winner.
