Itallian Turf hosts Deltatigers Ladies Challenge
Hello race fans and welcome to Sim History weeks coverage of Italy’s installment honoring the legendary Deltataiger , Residency manager of the Alpine Turf Club .
Deltatigers Ladies Challenge is set to go off over 1 mile of Italy’s Firm turf drawing fillies and mares 3 yo + for the purse of $ 75,000 . Six such Fillies have come to settle whom is the best in Italy this weekend and among these is favored BACK IN YOUR ARMS going off at 7 / 5 .
Drawing the wood at 3 / 1 is the Rapier2 trained Top Dollar ( Woodman x Blushing Groom (FR) x Caerleon ) ridden by second year sensation J Jubel . This 4 yo brown filly comes into today’s race with a record of 26 : 10 – 7 – 5 and $ 264,000 in earnings with 4 100 + SPf efforts . Suffering from a case of Stakes alergies , this filly is reported to be cured and ready to prove she is more than an Alw star . She’s won 3 of her last 4 starts and is raring to prove she belongs among the divisions best .
In post 2 also at 3 / 1 is the Alluvial trained filly BREAKDANCE ( Danzig x Irish River (FR) x Hard Work ) ridden today by rookie sensation G Moss . A multiple Stakes winner , this 5 yo mare is an $ 183,000 earner boasting a record of 22 : 7 – 2 – 4 with 3 100+ SPf efforts to date including her last race July 21 st in Ireland ALW company . Well handled throughout her career , she’s here today to add yet another Stakes victory to her resume’ and prepare for the breed shed sometime in the near future . As one of the few remaining Danzig Mares racing in the Sim , it’s great to see her here today and competing in the upper echelon of racing .
In post 3 wearing the silks of the Littlebitfarms Empire under trainer Privetdrive is 5 yo TIZ RED 7 / 2 ( Tiz Now x Jade Hunter x Secretariat ) with 4 th year jockey P Coker in the irons . The second foal of 6x Stakes winning mare Red Jade , this mare has done her dam proud in a career highlighted by $ 353,000 in earnings ; a record of 37 : 12 – 8 – 4 a Stakes win , multiple Stakes placing’s and 6 individual efforts resulting in 100 + SPf . This mare has won her last 3 going this very same distance , the last two 100+ SPf efforts and is well prepped for the trip today . Watch for her to stick her nose out front early and run like her tail is on fire !!
In post 4 wearing the all white silks of trainer Freeky is Rude Stella (AUS) 9 / 1 ( Danewin (AUS) x Seattle Slew x Deputy Minister ) with 15 year veteran A Moffet in the irons . This 4 yo Australian bred mare is the consummate professional with a record of 22 : 10 – 1 – 1 , $ 485,000 in earnings , 7 Stakes wins ranging from 6.5 furlongs to 14 furlongs on both dirt and turf . Perpetually stumbling when upped into Graded ranks , this mare is right where she belongs and runs fearless in this company . Look for her to challenge early for the lead , her past performances lead me to believe she’ll have plenty in the tank when the field turns for home .
Also in all white silks in post 5 is 13 / 1 long shot DECISION (AUS) ( Redoute’s Choice (AUS) x Our Emblem x Rahy ) representing trainer Ashleigh and ridden by 11 year veteran Z Gootee . With a record of 27 : 2 – 2 – 5 and $ 86,000 in earnings , this 4 yo mare takes yet another swing at Stakes company against a tuff collection of mares . Winless in Stakes company to date , she did run a rather impressive 8 furlongs June 16 th in Denmark 1:35:1/5 and convinced her connections that it was once again time to test the waters . She’s gonna need a perfect trip today against this field and a bit of luck to hit the board .
Yet another trainer in all white silks < thank goodness for numbers > is the betting favorite BACK IN YOUR ARMS 7 / 5 ( Kingmambo x Nijinsky II x Roberto ) representing Iant4 and ridden by the spectacular veteran N Labreche . This 6 yo mare hardly needs introduction but for fairness I will list her accomplishments . Coming into the race with a record of 38 : 19 – 6 – 3 and earnings exceeding $ 1.8 million , this mare has racked up 8 Stakes wins , 5 Graded wins … 1 of those being a G I and 25 times exceeding the 100 SPf rating . Her accomplishments speak for themselves and her heart attack late runs are breathtaking to watch . With all the early speed it wouldn’t surprise me to see her come from waaaayyyy back and storm home to capture her 9 th lifetime Stakes win … but 5 other mares have the same desire today anjd will make her work hard for it .
