WANTED: Sim Hall Of Fame Message Board Essay Contest Stories

Got a little spare time this weekend?   Looking for a fun topic to flex your writing muscles, stroll down memory lane, or just be a wild-n-wacky short, short storyteller?

Then try your hand at the Black Type Bugler’s “If I Could Train One Sim Hall Of Fame Horse” Message Board Essay contest.   Write a mini-essay, selecting one of the Hall Of Fame horses below.  Only 1, 2, or 3 paragraphs or so in length — 500 words or less!   Don’t worry, we won’t count words.   =)

Wow us!  Thrill us!  Knock us off our feet!  Newbies and old veterans are more than welcome to participate in this contest which ends Wednesday evening, August 15.

Newbies:   Select a horse that catches your fancy below.   Click on the link to read the horse’s story for a little background info.   These horses are the best ever in the game.   Give us a story!   Imagine your new nippy homebreds all google-eyes when one of these horses meet them.   What advice would they extend to your little fellas?   Or place yourself visting the fictional hallowed grounds of the Sim Hall Of Fame.  Most of these horses are retired to the Hall.   Tell us about your visit to the SHOF Horse Park.   Who posed for the cameras?   Who caught your eye and made ya wish, “Wow!   I bet he was a devil on the racetrack….”

Vets:   Do you remember old stories about these horses and their trainers?   Tell us!   Or perhaps you have a stable star now which is on the path to equal or surpass one of these Hall of Famers?   Give us the goods, give us the lowdown!  Compare to which HOF horse you think YOUR horse compares to.  Ha!   Or, hey, slow down, and record your visit to the Sim Hall Of Fame Horse Park — “Above all, I’d want to train Enough Knock, because he was the one to beat in every race, win or lose afterwards…….”

“If I could train one Sim Hall Of Fame horse, it would be…..”

Please post your mini-stories on the game’s main message board.   We’re all in the thread entitled, “Sim Hall Of Fame Message Board Essay Contest:  Win Prizes!” authored by Snowchief.   More details there, including a list of excellent credit and homebred prizes.

Click on the horse name to read its Hall Of Fame story and have fun in the Sim!  BTB Editors Roys & Snowchief CANNOT WAIT to read your stories.  Good luck.   🙂
