Nop Dropper Memorial

Well who said I knew what I was talking about? Not me thats for sure.  The horse that I thought would get nowhere in this race came out and won it.  The horse that the bookies had longest odds for won it.  Name? MILLVIEW SELLERS(IND) bred and trained by deeprock15.  Won this race easily by a length and a quarter with a speed of 57.   On debut too!!  She is out of the little known (to me anyways) Tejano but he has produced some Stakes winners so here is another for the books.  Beautiful run coming from behind to overtake and win outright.

GENEROUS GIANT(ENG) was certainly keeping her honest at the end there but wasnt able to keep up with the pace.  Having led for basically the whole race was passed in the last few.  Still a nice run second place for the very well bred mare.  Also debut here for this one.

The only one to have previously raced was LUIGIA DEI MEDICI(JPN) who couldnt perform here today.  Although crossing the line in third and thats a great result at Stakes level on any terms was some 8 lengths behind the winner with a speed rating of only 44. Disappointing run and needs to find that form she had early on.

CAMOMILLA’S LOVE(IRE) was not in this today with a low speed rating of 35 and a fair way off of the winner.  Still its not all doom and gloom.  She was put into a high level of race on debut and she may well prefer the dirt. Then again she just could have had a bad run. Too early to say really. Stick with her and she may well pay you the rewards.

I got to say overall for this race though, considering it was a Stakes race it was surprising to see 2yo’s who had never raced before in this one.  Im not sure if I agree with that type of thinking.  Surely you should at the very least have raced before if not won some races.  Still I in no way want to take away from the winners here.  Certainly MILLVIEW SELLERS(IND) looked very good and sharp out there today.  Can’t wait to see how she keeps performing!
