Notin To Cry About (AUS) Wins On Home Turf

The two year olds came to the track this week in the highlight Grade I Fauster’s Juvenile Cup here in Queesland. A full field of fillies lined up for the six furlong sprint, nervously moving through the post parade and loading into the starting gates. Some fillies baulked before going in the gate, still new to the world of racing. Once the field was loaded in the tense waiting for the gates to open began.

When the gates did open and the fillies came galloping out it was undefeated Paul’s Boutique (AUS), owned by crawf68, out to an early lead by one-fourth of a length over 2ndchoice trained Flying Finish (JPN). Running a half length back in third was Seeking Cat, owned by manostable. Along in fourth and fifth were Miss Moors and Azking For It (IRE), owned and trained by parramatta and enfuego respectively. Out of the gate last and trailing the leader by a mere four and a half lengths was hawkz3 trained Lot At Steak (AUS).

Paul’s Boutique (AUS) still had her lead by three-fourths of a length over Miss Moors who had moved from fourth and into second. Seeking Cat was holding strong in third. Flying Finish (JPN) had fallen back into fourth with another undefeated filly, Notin To Cry About (AUS), owned by wins, making her way up into fifth. Moving up into seventh was Smooze (NZ), trained by holyghost, who put back Bonezip Rip, trained by ksprarrow11, into eighth. Azking For It (IRE) fell back into sixth. Still trailing the pack, now back by seven lengths, was Lot At Steak (AUS).

Coming down toward the wire in the sprint it was turning into a spectacular finish with Paul’s Bouqiue (AUS) and Miss Moors right in there head to head, who was in the lead to tight to call. On the outside of them was Notin To Cry About (AUS) who was only back by a head under the two other battling fillies, but gaining ground with every stride. A length in a half back in fourth it was Proclaim The Truth (IRE), owned by irshaman, who was beginning to make her move along with Smooze (NZ) in fifth. Falling into sixth was Seeking Cat. Bonezip Rip moved up into seventh with Azking For It (IRE) fading into eighth. Flying Finish (JPN) was in ninth with bevron owned Cindy Stone (ENG) beginning to move slowly into tenth. In eleventh and gaining ground was Mour Of The Caff (IRE), trained by corzacan. Lot At Steak (AUS) was beginning to make her move now and was currently in twelfth. Not having a good day but showing a little speed now was favorite Rahy’s Broad, owned and trained by pointblank in thirteenth. Trailing the field as they came for home was longshot Forty Mean Nurses, trained by jarrod4.

Now the field came cascading towards the wire and it was the undefeated wins trained Notin To Cry About (AUS) to take the win under jockey B. Baker by a half a length with a speed figure of seventy-eight, a lifetime best for the filly, over second place finisher Proclaim The Truth (IRE). Miss Moors finished third.

Also rans include: Paul’s Boutique (AUS), Smooze (NZ), Lot At Steak (AUS), Mour Of The Caff (IRE), Cindy Stone (ENG), Bonezip Rip, Seeking Cat, Rahy’s Broad, Azking For It (IRE), Flying Finish (JPN), and Forty Mean Nurses.
