Deyoto turns back on Conglomerate
Deyoto turns back on Conglomerate!
Just weeks before the biggest race in the short history of the Australian conglomerate, co-founder Deyoto Lefranse has left the country on a tax payer funded overseas junket. With the Ruby Slipper final only a fortnight away many in racing circles have questioned the timing of the overseas trip.
With three starters in the Slipper final including colts prelude winner Bucks Party, Deyoto and all the staff at Heartwood Lodge were heading toward more glory on the big stage, but with Deyoto’s defection the staff at Heartwood Lodge are said to be in turmoil. I spoke to Deyoto’s stable foreman Paolo Garcia earlier today who had the following to say; “ Yeah it’s a total shock, I got up for work one Sunday morning and when I went into the office there was a note from the boss saying he’d left the country and he’ll be back in 12 months. I’m alright at training the horses but I’m no Deyoto Lefranse, I mean the Ruby Slipper final is two weeks away and I can’t promise I’ll have any of the horses sharp for the race”. When asked wether Deyoto was suffering from a pre-mid life crisis Garcia neither confirmed or denied the allegations which has only added to the intrigue into the shock departure.
Fellow conglomerate members Gianluigi Aggulotto and Captain Nog were furious when told about the defection of their close friend and arch rival.
“ This just reeks of typical Deyoto arrogance. The guy is unbelievable. Here we are getting up at four in the morning making sure our horses are right for the Ruby Slipper final and here he is gallivanting all over the globe. Is he taking this race seriously?” – Captain Nog.
While the exact where about’s of Deyoto are unknown, rumours he was at last weeks 2000 Guineas meet to see his stable poster boy Paycheck record his maiden G1 victory have been confirmed. To only add to his reputation of being a high flying, limo riding, big gold chain wearing disco king, Deyoto was last seen boarding a plane to the party island of Ibiza.
While the world awaits to see if Deyoto returns for the inaugural Slipper final, Gianluigi Aggulotto fired this parting shot at Lefranse,” From what I’ve heard he is just the face of the operation out at Heartwood Lodge and that Paolo is the reason for all the success they’ve had recently. Look what happened last week with Paycheck, as soon as he leaves the country they have Grade 1 glory”.
