The Bargain Bowl Series visits Turf Paradise in Phoenix,  Arizona as two year old fillies take to the greensward for the Misallocation.  Run at a flat mile  (or  ~1600 meters for the metric folk),  a field of seven freshman lasses will compete for the winner”s share of the $100,000 purse and for the lasting recognition of winning a Bargain Bowl event.  The turf course should be firm for race day as the hot,  dry weather will continue through the weekend.
.
Favored National Stock has had the measure of both Time To Talk and Hawaki in both of the recent residency listed stakes at this distance that lead up to this spot.  The hot new shooter looks to be the once beaten in four tries Yousaiditwould.  Let’s take a look at them in entry point order and see how they look for this race.

ENTRY                                  BRED        OWNER            ST    W    ITM        EARNINGS

 NATIONAL  STOCK             NZ                 safbb4                  6      4      100%       $176,385
.
Bay filly has won four of her six starts,  culminating in a rousing victory in The Vandergriff Park listed stakes at this distance,  bashing a 78 SP# with TIME TO TALK,  HAWAIKI and SKIP JIVE in her wake.  Scratch bred Tavistock toughie (by National Emblem) took down the Starinsky listed at 6 furlongs in her previous run,  banking a 72 SP# from just off the early leaders.  She was 2nd one back of that against males in a BBRS allowance at 7 panels,  bagging a 68 SP#.  Well deserving favorite has never lost to her own kind and has handled her main opponents,  very much the one to beat for owner/trainer safbb4.

TIME  TO  TALK                     AUS          bargainbowlben       6      2     100%        $82,485
.
Scratch bred Danzero damsel (by Brian’s Time) has hit the board in every start.  Last out she was 2nd to favored NATIONAL STOCK in The Vandergriff Park at this route,  cashing a 76 SP# in a stretch running performance.  Bay filly was 3rd one back of that in The Starinsky at 6 panels,  copping a 70 SP# in a stalking trip.  She won her prior outing,  a NW1x allowance at 5.5 furlongs,  casting a 70 SP# in a pace pressing run.  Runner from the bargainbowlben racing group has been unable to handle the fave last two times over,  looks to be running for 2nd money in this heat.
.

.
HAWAIKI                                   NZ            planobrgn2                 4      1      75%         $66,484
.
Scratch bred Dalghar dame (by Naevus) set the pace before settling for 3rd in The Vandergriff Park,  flashing a 76 SP#.  Light grey speedster was 2nd best in The Starinsky one before that,  flipping a 70 SP# making all the pce.  She broke her maiden one back of that in her 2nd start,  flinging a 67 SP# from just off the early leaders.  Planobrgn2 protege looks to be the one to catch again,  but the fave has caught her in both of her last two runs;  early speed is always dangerous but faces stern task here.
.
.
.
YOUSAIDITWOULD          MD            bbrs                             4      3     100%       $69,990
.
$5,000 claim by the bbrs stable has paid immediate dividends with a victory in a BBRS allowance at 7 furlongs  garnering a 74 SP# in a stalking run,  and a close 2nd in the same condition on the dirt,  grabbing a 67 SP# chasing the pace.  Scratch bred bay QueMan qutie (by C’Mon Tiger) won that $5,000 claimer at 5 panels on the dirt,  getting s 66 SP# in a wire to wire score.  Steps up seeking her fourth win in five outings;  could make it interesting down the straight on top try.
.
.
.
WISDOM  SCRIPT               AUS          lgbost1                         5       1     80%        $51,640
.
$7,500 claim was a front running 2nd in latest in a BBRS allowance at 7 furlongs,  nailing a 72 SP#.  Scratch bred Al Maher honey (by Whiskey Wisdom) settled for 2nd after getting to the front one back of that in the same condition,  nabbing a 65 SP#.  Bay filly was 4th against the boys in prior run first off the claim,  notching a 64 SP# in an on the pace effort.  Lgbost1 trainee should be part of the early pace struggle,  could hang on for a minor share.
.
.
.
SKIP  JIVE                                AUS          planobrgn2                  5      1     80%       $63,430
.
Scratch bred Al Maher miss (by Right Approach) was 4th last time over behind the top three in The Vandergriff Park,  popping a 73 SP# in a mid pack run.  Bay filly broke her maiden one back of that in her 4th try,  pasting a 71 SP# from well back at this route.  She closed fast for 2nd one before that at 7 panels in a BBRS maiden event,  posting a 66 SP#.  Runner from the planobrgn2 racing operation should be gaining late,  could be a stretch threat on best.
.
.
.
ROSE  MISTRESS               JPN          safbb4                            4      1      50%       $39,148
.
Finally we have this bay speedster,  who wired a BBRS maiden at this distance in her last start,  slashing a 74 SP# in her first win.  Scratch bred Rose Kingdom runt (by Jet Master),  set all the fractions and settled for 2nd in her prior try in a BBRS maiden at a mile,  stashing a 68 SP#.  One before that she backed up to 4th after making the pace at 7 panels,  snaring a 61 SP#.  Safbb4 trainee should be an early pace factor,  but will find it tough holding on late against more seasoned foes.
.
.
.
Good luck everybody and may they all come home fast,  safe and sound.
