From Turf Paradise in Phoenix,  Arizona the Bargain Bred Racing Series features two year old fillies taking to the dirt for a full circuit around the mile oval here in the Meadow Star.  A field of seven freshman ladies will compete for the winner”s share of the $100,000 purse,  and for the lasting recognition of earning a Bargain Bowl championship.  The dirt surface should be fast as the hot,  dry late fall weather continues.
.
Ghost Hopper and Naples took the recent residency listed stakes at this route leading up to this event,  with Onibi a close 2nd to Naples in that race.  Let’s take a closer look at them in entry point order and see what the figures reveal.

Brown speedster from the lglong2y racing operation makes her first stakes try after tiring to 4th last out in a BBRS allowance,  bashing a 67 SP# after opening a wide lead.  Scratch bred Rydilluc runner (by Manhattan Cafe), wired a BBRS allowance in the same condition one back of that,  banking a 68 SP#.  One before that she was 5th in a BBRS allowance on the grass at 6 panels,  bagging a 58 SP#.  Looks like she’ll be involved in the early pace scenario,  but unlikely to hold on down the lane.
