The ANNIE ADAN Special
This week in the great state of Texas, we have a field of 8, Fillies and mares, 2 years old going Six and one half furlongs on the Fast Dirt Course in The ANNIE ADAN Special Stakes for a purse of $60,000. There are some nicely breed 2 year olds in here with sires from CAME HOME, A.P. INDY. and FORESTRY. There are 2 first time starters and the #7 horse “YEAR OF THE SPIDER” a first time starter and the odds on, tote board favorite at 5/2. Now for a glimpse of the 2 year old field in Texas: Enjoy.
ZYTOWN at 9/2 is a SPEIGHTSTOWN 2year old filly, with 2 wins in 3 starts, blown away last out in the Butterfly Futurity grade III. Only carrying a 75 sp#, she was definitely out classed. Look for here to bounce back in this race and return to the mid 80’s sp#. Owned by zyro , she is much better place here.
AZROC RAINS at 16/1 is a TORRENTIAL 2year old filly, first time starter. She could be a little out of here league for the first time out. Owned by leeballs, you may want to pass on her first race.
MIND ON MY MONEY at 9/1 is a TALK IS MONEY 2 year old filly, with a nice record of 5-3-1-0. She looks like she is ready for another stakes try. Coming off a beautiful run in a $19,800 allowance race. Running 4th her first stakes try, Owned by repent I look for a much better performance from her this out.
PULPITS PRAYER at 6/1 is a 2 year old filly out of SONGANDAPRAYER.2 wins in her last 5 starts for owner pazstables , She won her last out in a $46,200 allowance race wit a impressive wire to wire victory. Coming in 4th in her last stakes outing, look for improvement from this young filly.
HOME ON THE RANGE at 7/1 is a 2year old filly out of CAME HOME. She has a nice record of 5-1-3-0. Coming off of 2 straight 2nd place finishes against allowance completion, she has been cutting speeds in the 70’s. Steadily improving, I’d look to see her break the 80’s sp# this time out for owner sunshine83 .
SHOCK at 9/2 from SAKHEE, is a 2year old filly. She has 2 wins in her last 5 starts for owner darylcal . She had a nice come from behind victory to win by 1/4length last out with allowance company. Running speeds in the high 70’s, will give her a share at this $60,000 purse.
YEAR OF THE SPIDER at the 5/2 favorite, a 2 year old filly by A.P. INDY. She makes her debuted start in the The ANNIE ADAN Special for owner bigsteve1 . Look for sparks to fly, as I see her going wire to wire in her first time out. She is the tote board 5/2 favorite.
THE FOREST CAT at 4/1 a FORESTRY 2 year OLD FILLY. Hitting the top 2 spots 4 out of 4 races, and running in the hi 70’s sp# for owner minnow . She has a chance to take down the first time starter Year Of The Spider. She is coming off of 2 runner up races against stakes level completion. Don’t count her out of this one.
