Peace Ally Wins Buritto Grande Bowl

This Saturday in California saw the running of the Buritto Grande Breeders Bowl. In the race entered a full field of fourteen hoses, four years old and up to race over a distance of six and a half furlongs over the dirt in the challengng Grade III race. The seasoned field all loaded into the gates easily, tensely waiting the moment when they would spring out of the gates, the crowd holding thier breath in anticipation.

After the tense minutes the fourteen horses sprag out onto the track with sdmf3 owned and trained Twice As Hard breaking sharply to take the lead just by a nose over Secret Hideaway, owned by brightmoon. Running in third by a head was Hansom Ransom (IRE) owned and trained by sarasans. Running in fourth and fifth were Box Car Hobo and Fleeting Account, owned and trained by firstmate and aptitude11 respectively. Breaking uncharacteristctaly last from the gates was Big Poppa Pump, trained by stonecold, who was back by four and three-third lengths.

Next it was Twice As Hard still in the lead, lengthening it to one-fourth lengths over Secret Hideaway. Hansom Ransom (IRE) was still in third along with Box Car Hobo and Fleeting Account still running fourth and fifth. Big Poppa Pump continued to trail the field, now back by nine lengths from front-running Twice As Hard.

Just before the stretch it was Twice As Hard still in the lead and continuing to length it. The four year old bay colt was now in the lead by a length over Secret Hideaway with Hansom Ransom (IRE) still running along in third. Ell2020 owned and trained Peace Ally was now making a big move and had come from seventh all the way into fourth, Streak Free, trained by doomngloom, was also charging ahead in fifth. Fleeting Account had dropped back into sixth with Mustbetime owned Sometiems Not (IRE) moving up into seventh. Box Car Hobo looked to be fading and was now back in eighth with Kung Fu, owned by siama running alongside. Begining to cover some ground was In A Simple Rhyme, trained by zewango4. Silver Strav was next, owned and trained by emb2 along with Shaggy3 trained Future Dancer. Next ws Mountain Ted (IRE) owned and trained by highclaim and still running last in the pack, now back by seventeen and one-fourth lengths was Big Poppa Pump, one had to wonder if maybe he was injured during the race or perhaps was having a very off day.

Then the fourteen horses came down to the wire and it was the late charging Peace Ally to win by a length over Streak Free in second. Sometimes Not (IRE) finished third.

Also Rans include: Fleeting Account, In A Simple Rhyme, Twice As Hard, Silver Strav, Secret Hideway, Future Dancer, Kung Fu, Hansom Ransom (IRE), Mountain Ted (IRE), and Big Poppa Pump rounding out the field.
