Stewards Investigate Aggulotto

Just 24 hours on from his boom 3 year old colt Paycheck’s stunning group 3 victory in Ireland, it was back to business for the head trainer of Champion Lodge.
Paycheck eased past rivals in the group 3 Krusrocek stakes to stamp his claim on the 3 year old turf classic division in a win that pleased his trainer greatly;

“He’s had one or two setbacks since the Breeder’s Bowl last year which has kept him from the track but he’s back in good shape and putting it all together at the right time.”

– Deyoto Lefranse

However the attention was not on Paycheck’s weekend feats for long and quickly turned to Saturday week’s Ruby Slipper preludes and the hostility that has developed between Gianluigi Aggulotto and fellow conglomerate member Captain Nog.
Just a fortnight from the preludes it has been alleged Aggulotto is involved in an illegal betting ring whereby he supplies inside information on his horses in return for discounted movie tickets.
And all this comes just days after the dropping of charges against himself and girlfriend Tara over an armed robbery incident at Shell Service Station in 2005.
The news has enraged fellow conglomerate members and none more so than Captain Nog who had the following to say on the matter;

“Its just not right, why should I be paying full price for Gold Class when Gianluigi gets in for free?”

However true professionals Lefranse and Vansheen have one thing on their mind……not Aggulotto and not movie tickets but the Ruby Slipper and the glory it will bring to the inaugral winning trainer and 2 year old.
