Spotlight Tipsheet 12/19 Czech Republic

A bit cool but dry conditions will result in fast conditions for the 10 races that are scheduled for Saturday.  Here are my choices for each race:

Race 1   Claim   Race ID : 1593769

6  Lady of Hussonet  9/5-Broke maiden in last at $150k claim level.  Comes right back.

2  Xios Minister  5/2-Strong second in last when dropping out of allowance to claimers.  Climbs way up claim ladder but can score.

1  Cowboy Lin 2/1-Earned win in last by hitting 80 speed for first time, not out of the picture.

 

Race 2   MSW   Race ID : 1593770

2-Lucky’s New Gun  1/5-Top speeds in mini-field, best bet.

4-Hero Bert  17/1-First time starter, chance in small field.

 

Race 3   Allowance   Race ID : 1593771

8-Vindidrop  8/1-Hit 103 speed two back when shifting back to dirt and last outing was win with 76 speed.  The win was done easily and should have little wear from that effort.  Bargain at 8/1.

2-Professional Cynic  5/2-Won last by 7 strides after drop from grade level to allowance.  Gotta respect.

7-Bulbic  3/1-Ran 103 speed in last finishing third.  17 of 22 in the money over career.  Rarely a poor effort.

 

Race 4   Allowance   Race ID : 1593772

4-Six Forty Seven-2/1-Finished ninth in last but was a throw away race on off-track.  Prior three with speeds in 90 and climbing.  Climbs to top spot here.

5-Nana Station  5/2-Hit 103 in last with win setting career best.  Won two of last three, figures to do well in this setting.

1-The People Weep  9/5-Was off the board in last two despite very good speeds.  Needs to shake these off and get back on track.

 

Race 5   Claim   Race ID : 1593773

4-RD One  2/1-Comes back after two month race which followed a notable decline in speed.  Rest should be beneficial and returns to solid form.

7-Za Zip Away  2/1-Nice 97 speed in last when returning to dirt after a 7 month hiatus but gets less than three weeks rest.

2  Wild For Sinn  4/1-When last seen on dirt he ran a 98 speed.  Takes drop in claiming level and is a contender.

 

Race 6   Claim   Race ID : 1607009

8-Ritual Fire Dancer  9/5-Moves up claim laddeer after win in $10k with 96 speed.  Has been first or second in last five.  Deserves top spot.

3-Dim King  8/1-Comes back after long rest and is capable of 90-level speeds.  Drops out of allowance and class relief should be beneficial.

1-Forty War Chachin  7/1-Can hit 90 speeds but not consistent with it.  Finished third and second in last two, both on this track.

 

Race 7   Maiden Claim  Race ID : 1576034

9-Sugar Walls  5/2-Back to turf after lukewarm run on dirt.  Speeds had been accelerating on turf prior to that outing.  Has the edge here.

5-Dixie Bt  17/1-Switches to turf and has some decent lines in the breeding, may prefer the grass.

3-Sly Look  3/1-Ran third on this oval in Hot race debut, can improve off that effort.

 

Race 8   Maiden Claim   Race ID : 1606984

5-D King’s Meds  3/1-Knocked off 70 speed in last.  Gets win if can boost this number.

1-Prayer For Dawn  5/1-Debuted on dirt with poor outcome and switches to turf.  Has pedigree that favors the turf and should gain improvement.

7-Atonality  6/1-Rolling dice that this one will pick things up.  Ran 71 on grass back in September but in mid-60’s last two.

 

Race 9  Barbs Little Lion Turf Filly Stayer   Race ID : 1419984

2 -Meztli Gal  3/1-Won allowance and listed stake in last two appearances after giving up grade level appearances.  Capable of making it three in a row.

5-Zyema  5/1-Won last three in allowance with accelerating speeds.  Earns right to compete in listed stakes and should be respected.

8-Exbourne’s Sadrock  7/2-After some disappointments in grade racing, moved to listed and is establishing footing, could regain confidence level in this one.

 

Race 10      Race ID : 1573716   BRITISH AND NORDIC CHRISTMAS SPECIAL  (MSW)

5-Portland Rock  11/1-Race features new borns, all making first career start making this wide open event.  I like Rock of Gibraltar who is the sire for this lady.  Going with her.

7-Queen of Dragsholm  10/1-Wouldn’t it be wacky if this one won?  She’s out of game mare Miss Wacky.  I don’t need to say any more than that.

14-Master At Work  20/1-Game mare Rulers of Dance was a G3 winner with a quarter million in winnings.   First child to this mare and maybe the talent will be passed on.
