G1 The Osmonds Memorial 2400m

IVOR’S CRAFT bezstables M Day 7/1     MASTERCRAFTSMAN (IRE)

Former claimer who has been unearthed by his new stable and promises to become one of the better 10f horses around very shortly on the basis of what we have seen so far this year. He boasts victories in 113 and 114 for the distance, and it is the return to his favoured trip that sees him present as a massive over-lay at 7-1. Didnt see the 12f out last time and expecting much better here.

HEAR HEAR waffleboy R McMillian 9/2    MONTJEU

This 7yo is a winner of 13 races and appears to be in as good a form as ever this season. He flopped badly in the Juddmonte when last seen but was a G3 winner in good time the start prior. Id suggest 9/2 is too short on the basis of his latest offering at G1 level but a return to his best would see him competitive.

MASTER LOCKIRE blankpoint W Desantis 6/1    MASTERCRAFTSMAN (IRE)

Another son of excellent turf sire Mastercraftsman. Despite some very solid ALW form, he has failed to reproduce those efforts when raced in Stks level or above. For that reason this G1 appears a bridge too far.

TATJAKAPARA 6wide Z Ayya 7/1    NORTHERN METEOR (AUS)

Son of underrated sire.

He is a G3 winner at this track earlier in the season having won the National Stks. But the highlight came in his G1 victory in South Africa Manha Manha Challenge over 10f where he finished powerfully to score running away. A couple of ‘fitness’ runs have flanked a G1 flop in the Greatest Show On Turf, however, he should find this race more to his liking and Id suggest 7-1 is arguably over the odds.

PETERFEEDMYSHEEPKY willsyam12 Fairfield 9/1    MEDAGLIA D’ORO

Very lightly raced 4yo son of leading sire. Has only been produced on 4 occasions this term resulting in 3 devestating victories, which included a G2, before a terrible effort at his latest start when stepped back up to this trip. Has much to find on prior 10f form.

6

KEPLER RED WAYKY bobo S Daum 6/1    GIANT’S CAUSEWAY

This horse has raced over a variety of distances lately with varying degrees of success, however it appears likely that this trip will suit. A G2 victory over 1 Mile back in April was his lead up to stiffer tests over 12f where he performed admirably in gaining 2nd place in the Grand Prix de Paris. Another that is likely to outrun his position in the market.

7

SINGAPORE STRIKE boble T Kelly 5/1    SMART STRIKE

Lightly raced 4yo who boasts a strong win the G2 Prix de Harcourt earlier in the term. He was 3rd to Tatjakapara in the South African G1 feature and rounded out his prep for this with a hollow 7f win in nice time. Has obvious claims to victory.

8

ASTERISM malekfarms O Brim 5/2    GALILEO

Clearly the best performed horse in this race with multiple G1 victories already to his name. The task at hand does not look straight forward for him however. Having only raced once this year, a dismal failure at Royal Ascot, his fitness for Saturdays G1 must be strongly questioned. Clearly all has not been well with the stable star, and he is a very shaky 5-2 fav.

TIPS

Ivors Craft has sensational 10f form to his name, and if he can repeat either of his 2 PBs this term he will be the one to catch.

Tatjakpara and Kepler Red Way appear the most likely dangers
