1^st foal out of an “E” rated mare who excelled on turf, but never won or placed in a stakes.  Sired by Buddha this colt already has already won and placed in two stakes events.  Pretty much a stalking type, the race sets up well for him.  Ironside in the irons helps his chances, and he should be ITM.

Long shot bargain bred who woke up in claimers to then take a stakes event, needs to improve SP’s to be a contender here. 

Giving credit where credit is due, this colt has already exceeded the expectations of trainers involved in his short career.  Probably won’t be a factor here, but will certainly be a bp machine.

Colt is out of a 4yo “H” rated mare which in itself is unusual; this colt has proved to be worth the extra cost.  He already has two stakes wins and the look of a colt that will like a distance.  Last three races were graded where he closed in all.  He can’t fall too far behind here and expect to win.  He has shown he is versatile enough to stay closer, and if he does, he has an excellent chance to run down the pacemakers.

Out of a “G” rated distance mare, this colt by Kitten’s Joy is graded placed in his short career.  He was well behind the #3 horse in last event, but is cutting back to proper distance here.  The jock is not an asset sorry to say.  However, this being only his 4^th race, one never knows how colt will respond.  CPU gives short odds, so probably knows more than me…J

Out of a big footed “G” rated mare that only had six starts.  This colt has 3 wins, with two of them on off tracks.  He would certainly be a bigger threat had the track come up yielding.  Ross is in the saddle which helps tremendously.  Even with the fast track, it is hard to take anything away from him.

Scratch bred colt that hasn’t finished OTM yet.  He never gained or lost ground in his stakes try last out.  Not sure how he will react here, but appears to be a solid runner.  Me thinks he has a liking for a bit more ground and is possibly better suited to dirt.  However, his SP’s are a little better on the grass.  After this race, both trainer and I will know more about his future…J

3^rd progeny out of a “H” rated mare, who already has had a stakes winner.  Momma is one of those mares that is open for anyone to breed to.  Colt is bred for the grass, and proved that in only his 2^nd race with a fine looking win.  As to whether he can compete at stakes level in just his 3^rd start is always hit or miss, and we’ll know more after this race.  He does look like he’ll be around for a long time competing with some authority in grass events.
