THE CHRISTY FORBES MEMORIAL

On a cool sunny day from the northeast state of Massachusetts for the running of THE CHRISTY FORBES MEMORIAL a 7.5f event for 3yo and older fillies and mares on the fast dirt course for a purse of $75,000 up for grabs. The morning line favorite PJLRACING’S EXPLOSIVE STORM headlines this field of 8. MAXIE’S BARB’S JACKIE E and BUZZFARM’S STROLLING FOR GOLD are the second and third choice in the field respectfully.

1. EXPLOSIVE STORM a 5yo mare by STORM CAT and trained by placing has a record of 11-6-1 from 26 starts and earnings of 562,841. A G1 winner two back in the DANCER CAP STAKES has not finished worse than 2^nd in any of her races this year. A winner 5 out of 8 races she has run this year. There is nothing to show that she won’t be right in the thick of it all at the end. She likes to get way back and come flying late

2. THE WAY OF PHYLLIS(IRE) a 4yo filly by GIANT’S CAUSEWAY and trained by ccc has a record of 3-5-1 from 14 starts and earnings of 73,941. This filly won last time out in Allowance Company and her trainer decided to step her up to the next level. Tough place to debut in Stakes Competition. Her lone advantage is she might find herself alone on the lead and she just might sneak away with it.

3. BARB’S JACKIE E a 4yo filly by MACHIAVELLIAN and trained by maxie has a record of 8-10-3 from 33 starts and earnings of 264,508. You have to go back 8 races to see where this gal found the winners circle in the DANEHILL REEF BONANZA. Since than she has only managed two 2^nd place finishes both coming in her last two races. She will lay close to the lead and won’t make her move til the stretch.

4. HOE NICOLE a 7yo mare by BACK WAGES and trained by renegade65 has a record of 5-3-2 from 26 starts and earnings of 51,791. In her last six races she has been beaten a combined 128 lengths. that’s over 20 lengths a race average. Gotta look for this one to finish way behind here too.

5. MEDALLA a 3yo filly by MEDAGLIA D’ORO and trained by son sierra has a record of 8-2-1 from 17 starts for earnings of 317,812. A winner of four of her last seven races. The most recent in the WEST BODY CHALLENGE going 6f. She will lay couple lengths off the lead and hope to pounce on the leader around the far turn.

6. STROLLING FOR GOLD a 3yo filly by STROLL and trained by buzzfarm has a record of 6-3-1 from 19 starts and earnings of 458,085. A winner of three straight before her trainer made a huge mistake trying to win a residency contest. Still she was close in her last two despite the poor judgment of her trainer. Three back she fired a huge 110 SP in a Stakes at Kentucky. She likes to lay close and finish strong. Watch out today.

7. LOVELACE a 3yo filly by STORM CAT and trained by prez has a record of 6-5-3 from 26 starts and earnings of 264,365. Winner last out in IOWA in the OFF FOR DIGGER CHALLENGE. She should be part of the pace and she has shown signs to want to be on the lead all alone.

8. BUDA AT THE RODEO a 3yo filly by POSSE and trained by fiat has a record of 4-2-5 from 16 starts and earnings of 134,107. Of her three wins she has this year they have all come at the two turn distance and against lesser company. She will need to fire on all cylinders today to have a chance.

MY PICKS TODAY : 1-6-3 GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
