A.P GEISHA THE GIRL TO BEAT
A.P GEISHA THE GIRL TO BEAT
The main event in Argentina this weekend is the FAT JOVE Memorial over the magic mile on firm turf for all fillies and mares 3yo and up. We have a slippery half dozen assembled so let’s check em out.
1 – DOWN IN THE TEA 6/1 – A seasoned Stakes veteran who has won over $250,000. Has won 3 of her last 5 over 9 – 10 furlongs and last time out raced over 2 miles. Races on the pace and will be up there for a long way. Has her share of ability.
2 – DON’T TOUCH ME(SAF) 5/1 – This 4yo chesnut filly hasn’t had a lot of stakes experience but does revel on this surface and at this trip. Will need to really fire here to be a chance. May be slightly out of her depth.
3 – TSR’S INNER CHILD 22/1 – Has had a terrific 3yo season and had won over half a million dollars in stakes. She appears to like it a bit further but is a grade one winner and can not be taken lightly. Big odds.
4 – A.P GEISHA 1/1 – This is this girls perfect race. Loves this level of company, loves turf, loves a mile. It looks to be custom made for her. She oozes class and is the big gun here. Hard to beat.
5 – SHACAT 5/2 – A winner of over $500,000 in stakes. Has been racing well in restricted allowance company of late and steps back up here. She will need to find her best to win it though. Place hope.
6 – ARC OVER DANZIG 5/1 – A classy mare who may have seen her best days. Has won more prizemoney than anyone here and has been winning her allowance races well but hasn’t experienced the same success at this level of late. Need to re-capture her form from the halcyon days to figure.
So a field of classy runners and I wouldn’t be surprised if any of them got up. I’ll go 4-1-3-5. But it is anyones race!
Good luck and good punting.
